Wow, that head looks terrible to me, even independent of the Wheeljack name. Figure itself seems good.

Sweet design for Nightbird, though I would have been fine with a mostly black robot if it meant not having those gold parts in alt mode.

 

Just saw and added to the main post! I think she looks pretty solid, especially if this is from the non-SS line.

 

I'm gonna turn that Nightbird into a Bayverse Shatter to go with 2007 Dropkick.

How the hell did Arcee, Bee and Optimus keep their heads (mostly) from the BB movie, yet Wheeljack can't?

 

Yeah, it definitely could! I wouldn't necessarily say the non-SS Airazor looks better, both do things that I like and obviously the SS one definitely fits the movie style better, but it does look like a fun figure regardless and one I'll probably get.

 

Meh, they went backwards from the BB movie design wise.

 

They already have a design for the BB universe, why now Wheeljack is Ezra Miller cosplaying Steve Hurkel?

 

I feel like if the bumblebee wheeljack head design wouldve a worked if they gave him a goatee like cyberverse and spark did

 

Thoughts
- Nightbird looks pretty good! Sure, she's not painted enough, but looks decent. I like the detailing as well. Really cool figure. A definite buy for sure. Car mode looks nice, it reminds me of the BMW in Need For Speed Most Wanted.

- Wheeljack looks decent except for that headsculpt. I just don't like it. It just looks too nerdy in my opinion. I really wish he was wearing inventor goggles. I was also expecting him to look a bit like Masayoshi Shido from Persona haha.
But yeah... van mode looks OK. Not bad, not terrible, not good, but just okay. Reminds me a bit of those dollar store knockoffs made of cheap plastic in multicolor variations.
