\"Core Boys\" sounds like a codename for the mainline. I doubt it\'ll actually be called that since we know Nightbird is going to have a deluxe figure in that line as well as a Studio Series figure.

For Prime it's probably gonna be he turns into that 8X8 Beast Hunters Prime alt mode.

 

Yeah we didn’t know about these voyagers till the last week of December. As mentioned above, Prime is likely the Beast Hunters style vehicle we’ve been seeing in all mainline Prime figures for the film.

 

Interesting. I guess since Studio Series is there to fill in the Movie-Accurate designs, the "main" line would be more experimental. I kinda do miss when Transformers movie toylines go crazy with those sorts things from time to time.

 

Basically the SS stuff is based on concept art and early CGI assets, where as the mainline stuff is mostly just stuff based on concept art and I guess with not having to be 100% accurate they have a little more freedom in what they can do.

The plan was for the mainline stuff to come out alongside the film in 2022, with SS stuff coming in 2023 so they can be more accurate but that obviously changed.

 

Hopefully "Beast Mode" Optimus has a greatly improved bot mode. Also, has SS RotB Wheeljack been listed anywhere yet? We're obviously going to get one eventually, I just don't recall one being listed anywhere yet. I'm desperately hoping we get a better Wheeljack with a significantly better head sculpt, maybe with a battle mask at least, and I'd love it if the goggles folded back to create the ears but that's probably just wishful thinking. All the mainline figures have early concept heads so far so I'm hoping the final design is much improved over the awful nerd emoji face.

What I'm gonna do is just put my Earthrise or SS BBM Wheeljack head on the mainline Deluxe of him and the same for SS if the head isn't different.

 

Hopefully the Animated movie doesn't get delayed. So we can get accurate SS toys in 25. Also means that SS will be able to get more bayverse figures done, hopefully. There's not many left.

 

Agreed, and that is another thing, they're probably gonna have a mainline of stuff like ROTB does (which they are probably working on the toylineright now), and it means that SS 2024 can have more Bayverse stuff which would be neat since it's AOE's 10th anniversary. Then in 2025 we maybe get our SS versions that are more accurate.

I would love for them to finish off the AOE cast. The villains all have toys so it would really just be the autobots and maybe they could throw in some ksi drones and hopefully a new Dinobot finally. What that's like 2 optimus' ,two Bumblebees, Hound, Drift, and crosshairs would just be a slight retool/recolor and maybe I'd were lucky a new aoe dinobot. Could definitely see them just finishing them up next year.
