I consider that to be two different cases. Shockwave is obviously due for a larger figure at some point. It’s a matter of when. He’s a larger character that, by admission of the designers, was downsized on purpose.

Arcee is a different case. The character is small. We can see that from the trailer. The designers have said they chose core because of her size in the film. I wouldn’t expect Wheelie to be upsized to a deluxe figure because he doesn’t warrant the “upgrade”. And the same applies to Arcee in my opinion. We’ve seen large characters be downsized, but seldom see it the other way around with small characters being upsized.

Time will tell, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is all we get for ROTB Arcee for the foreseeable future.

 

Paint issues aside for the size she's not to bad.

I do wish they'd split the wheel, made the gun an accessory, and grouped the pegs and ports between both of the sides maybe used some rails instead as she looks like she's got a tree branch for a right arm it has so many bit sticking out of it.

Lets hope she's not got one of those 'annoying transformations' so common these days.

 

What really bugs me about studio series is how distant the figures for the actual movies will be released. I understand why the Cybertron figures dropped late, but figures like shatter and dropkick coming out over a year after their release date it too much. I don't think we'll see a deluxe class version of her for a while.

 

Not till 2025 probably.

 

I see.. however, then she'd need to a smidgen larger too. I think we're a bit distracted by 3rd parties "legends scale" offerings. They don't have to adhere to durability and playability standards as much. Wrist swivels or thigh swivels for example just don't fit in here with this Arcee. If you think about it, we can be super greatful for that gun. Maybe not a choking hazard cause it's too small?

Either way, at this price point, I can live with the sacrifices made. For what this is it's hands down going to be my favorite core class next to Rattrap

I mean, she's already too big as is, you know? She's already bumped up in size. Should he legends scale, like the Arcee triplets from RotF. I don't know if I could like with a small deluxe. It would make the motorcycle too large. This for me is the perfect blend between scale, accuracy and articulation. I sincerely hope that people's first reactions will change and that the core class will become the new motorcycle standard

When do you think Hasbro will reveal the toy line? A pulse livestream? A special event? February? New York tot fair got delayed to september so not at toy fair lol.

 

Probably just IGN/Comic Book.com thing or just they sneak out to retail and that's how they get "revealed" or they could maybe show up at London Toy Fair but I'd keep expectations low on that.

 

Wheeljack I’m confident will be since VW has licenses TF stuff more now than in the past, Mirage I think is possible mainly because Porshe released the ROTB trailer on their YT channel so they might finally be open to licensing TF stuff.

Scourge and pre-Western Star Optimus aren’t licensed because their truck modes are heavily modified. They didn’t require licensing to be accurate to the film props.

Wheeljack and Mirage would. They’re clearly mostly stock examples of their alt modes.
