This cover is hilariously bad. The sparks make it look like Scourge is hitting Prime’s cock with his arm. They really put below the minimum effort into this.

So did all the good design energy go to that toy of mainline Airrazor?

Y\'know, I honestly like scourge\'s design. While it does look a little overdone, I feel like it brings in a lot of cool stuff. I just wish the awesome alt mode showed through a little more, other than the bull bars being the chest, but otherwise I love the midivel executioner look of it

Now you just got me imagined the most disgruntled voice with a robotic filter going "Uhhhh... Meow?". Thank you for the hilarious imagery.

Bumblebee did a lot of simple things right, and even then there are still things about it that I know could've been improved upon. The bar had been lowered so much after the five films directed by Bay that even with all its faults there's a reason that people have been championing Bumblebee so hard.

The opening to DOTM was dreadful: without Peter Cullen's voice it could be the opening of any bargain bin blockbuster from the 2010's. There's not even a single transformation, it's almost comical how un-Transformers-y it all is. Plus while I love The Iron Giant I absolutely do not like how the stuff involving the Giants rampage was more or less copied almost one for one with Bumblebee. If they even just got rid of the stupid red eyes it would've been far more forgivable.

Though I will say: I do like the hexagonal look / patterns of Cybertron in DOTM, I think the planet itself looked totally fine... it was the populace we could see being a sea of grey non-transforming nobodies that really hurts it. But even if the movie didn't have that awesome opening scene on Cybertron Bumblebee would still be head and shoulders above any of the ones that came before.

It's definitely got things to criticize about it, but it not being enough like the Bay movies is absolutely not one of them.

Yeah, that was and still is my only beef with that movie. The red-eyes was stupid and made no sense with the whole thing being that he regained his memories. In TIG the Giant was against his original programming. His grief caused him to default to his original purpose as a mindless killing machine, and he was horrified when he finally came to his senses at what he was. Bumblebee isn't (supposed to be) a mindless killing machine, and it's clearly not what he was at the beginning of the film before losing his memories.

If the film stayed connected to the Bayverse, Bee would revert to the mindless killing machine, from WWII?
