Isn't that just the plot for 90% of Transformers media?

 

I'm gonna assume that "Sweeps" is simply a typo in this instance.

Also I didn't say that the 'Terrorcon' name makes no sense at all, just that like with many things in these movies they could be interchangeable with any number of other things. Plus what we do know of the faction so far is that they're Decepticons but follow a different guy, that's it. I'm guessing Terrorcon was picked because terror makes them sound spooky.

What I'm saying is the people making these movies are gonna need to do a lot to convince me that a significant amount of thought goes into the creation of these characters instead of just "oh this sounds cool lets go with that-". I'm not talking about the CG models, I'm talking about the conceptual stages.

 

Given it clearly was suggesting Scourge was one of the Decepticions, which we know he's not, it's the person who wrote the blurb getting the factions confused.

We've known this for some time, as Paramount announced long ago that we were getting a trilogy. I think we knew they were going for the trilogy before we even knew the next film was named Rise of the Beasts.

Caple literally if indirectly confirmed they're Unicron Heralds by making reference to people knowing what's up if they know the 'origin of the Terrorcons'.

Which because Caple didn't do his research, makes it blindingly obvious as there's only the G1 Decepticon subgroup Terrorcons...or the Unicron-derived zombie Terrorcons from Prime.

Though it's ironic given the Sweeps...were also created by Unicron, so there's that as well.

Combining the heart of Bumblebee with the action and spectacle that first captured moviegoers around the world in the original 2007 Transformers film" does not mean it's connected to bayverse. But rather they are taking parts from both for something new.

Yeah, I would take some of the details from the book description with a grain of salt. "Museum of Immigration" sounds too oddly specific, and "Museum of Archeology" sounds more accurate to the story. Plus we saw the pictures on set of the museum's actual name.
Also, with the use of "Decepticons" and "Sweeps" here, I think whoever made the descriptions just did quick google searches and called it a day.

The only reference to the bay films in this description is that it has as much action as the 2007 film while keeping the heart of Bumblebee from 2018. That doesn't mean the 2 are connected.

 

Okay, we might see scourge\'s official look better in the book rather than the movie trailer.

 

I'm pretty sure ROTB is gonna do better than that. Reminder that Covid happened at the time of development.

 

i 100% know what happened. originally Scourge and his goons were unicronian but still just decepticons like we\'re used to seeing with galvatron and stuff, and called Sweeps. but at some point someone said \"hey wouldn\'t it be cool if they were called terrorcons instead\"
