Is this the first time we vaguely know what the plot of the movie will be?

 

If you take out "Peru", this describes the plot for every single live-action Transformers movie besides for Bumblebee.

 

Hmmm, yeah, think there's a problem here, chief.

That's...promising the moon, and more than a little concerning to be frank.

And what do you know, the Predacons don't even get mentioned.

 

Sounds riveting and not at all reminiscent of the previous five movies before the good one.

 

They also have a 2nd book listed on that site that interestingly mentions the Sweeps: Mission at the Museum

Very interesting that the Sweeps are mentioned by name!

Even better, though, is seeing Peter Cullen’s name among the four major stars. That is huge from a marketing perspective and follows the trend that Paramount set with Sonic 2.

 

I'm just gonna assume that the Sweeps are Battletrap and Nightbird, but I'm hoping for more Terrorcons.

 

Somebody googled Scourge and got the G1 character  

 

The fact that they think Scourge is part of the Decepticons backs this even further.

Also, slightly interesting note about the museum: I mentioned a long time ago that part of it was on Ellis Island, and the book's description does have the museum's name as the "Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration", but on set it was actually the "NY Museum of Archeology":



Maybe it's like the Smithsonian Institution where there's multiple museums. If you look at the "NY Museum of Archeology" in the trailer, there's a bridge by the museum that doesn't seem to look like anything by Ellis Island in real life (though they could of course pretend it's there if they wanted to):

 

It's nice to see the actors listed not necessarily in live-action actors first, voiceover actors second order. The human lead did get top billing but then two VO actors came before the next live-action one. It makes it actually seem as if the Transformers are equally focal as the humans for the first time for a live-action Transformers movie.

 

Ok so our Macguffin in this film is literally the Maltese Falcon. Got it

 

Me when the Autobots find the artifact before Scourge, keeping the Decepticons from using it to take control of Earth

 

A lot of times these novelizations are based on an earlier version of the film\'s script, for example, the Novlizaitons for the original trilogy were all different in some aspect, Dark of the Moon\'s especially. So whatever these books have shouldn\'t be taken as what\'s going to 100% play out in the final film, but they will be a good indication of what does.

Also, the listing mentioned the Decepticons, so maybe we will finally get to see this continuities version of the one and only Lord Megatron!

 

I'm pretty sure the sweeps are what scourge's goons are called. I will be mad as hell if the sweeps are just a whole bunch of him running around.

I mean they may as well be called that, as it makes about as much sense as as 'terrorcon' does.

 

Yep. We're getting a full trilogy, folks.

We don't even know who the Sweeps are exactly, so you can't say the name doesn't make any sense. Furthermore, how can you say "terrorcon" doesn't make any sense either, given how little we know about the faction so far?
