The fact Optimus Prime is involved left me disapointed that it wasn't "Transformers: Primal Instinct"

The LAST time I heard something say it was about learning how to be a better leader, or rather what it meant to be a Prime, was Transformers Prime and we all know how THAT was a complete and utter misrepresentation of what we got after the beginning of Season 2.

I mean, the idea of Prime having to learn how to be a better leader after millions of years of war just seems oblivious to the fact he's been doing this job for millions of years and clearly has been decent enough at the job to not have had the Autobots all get destroyed by the Decepticons well before the opening scene of Bumblebee.

 

Where\'s my boy Megatron and the other Decepticons?

Because Paramount probably gets a kickback for using certain branded cars and that's more important to the studio than the toys. And HasTak have (rightly) assumed more people car about the bot modes these days than the alt modes..because they can just buy car toys anywhere.

My biggest question right now is who is coming back to voice Primal; Garry Chalk or Ron Perlman?

 

While it's an interesting concept, I'll remain firmly planted in the "I really hope they don't bite off more than they can chew" camp for now. If they try to shoe-horn the entirety of Transformers history into one movie, then uber-control the writers room and the director from the top down with ten thousand bosses all wanting their favorite story element, we'll end up in farcical failure territory. If they give the writers some breathing room, and let the director take the movie where it needs to go, and everybody along the way keeps the focus on character and story beats that make sense, it could really be something special.

I don't know that there's any option for it to mediocre with what they've revealed. Super, or garbage. Either way, popcorn at the ready.

Going by Di Bonaventura said, his role in production aside, it’s hard to believe he watched the Bumblebee movie. That movie was pretty much a reboot, it’s a stretch and forced to even somehow retcon it into the Bayverse and wouldn’t make sense, even with TLK already retconning that the Autobots had arrived well ahead of 2007. It’s almost as bad as the time Hasbro tried to shoehorn the WFC/FOC games into TF Prime aligned continuity.

Best to let the Bayverse be and leave it alone, they’re lucky they got 10 years out of it.
