Weird theory: Terrorcons in this movie aren't like monsters or anything, instead they are like high ranking a subsect of the Decepticon army(like the DJD?)

 

I’m liking what I’m hearing.

So glad the great and highly loved Peter Cullen will FINALLY get his wish for a solo Optimus Prime movie.

 

I hate steampunk.

I hope Wheeljack is in it. I'm fond of the visual from the Rising Storm when you see the einstein eye under his G1 face after he gets critically injured. I hope someone saw that as I think it'd pretty cool if his G1 Body is like a power suit and is one of his inventions. Like his true form is the frail Einstein bot, and his G1 self is a suit of armor, like a samurai when out on the field.

And when we go to the Autobot base I hope to see like 9 to 10 Autobots. Then when they go to South America, Optimus only takes a small squad. My hope is Bumblebee, Mirage, Arcee, Brawn, and Wheeljack. I think that'd be a pretty unique team of Autobots on a mission. Then at the end of the movie we Ratchet fix up the wounded bots back at base. Or Ratchet is called to assist them. Maybe they can introduce a ground bridge, like in the Transformers: Prime Cartoon and that how he gets from wherever the Autobot Base is to South America. I am curious how they're going to get to South America from Brooklyn?

I would assume Wheeljack and the others are in it sense they all landed here on Earth at the end of Bumblebee (and Arcee is in it so IDK why the others wouldn’t be in it

 

Yeah I wanna see the other Autobots from Bumblebee.

 

Caple has earned my respect even more.

 

This still isn’t a solo movie. There’s a ton of other characters. He’s just the main character.

 

Mildly concerned that he mentioned Bay Prime so much in that. I really prefer this to be a reboot and Optimus is not the best part of those movies by any measure

 

Yeah I know, i’m being a bit cheeky, but it’s clearly framed as an Optimus centric movie by the director.

Pretty sure the director views Bay Optimus and G1 Optimus as one in the same. Considering how he articulated how he wants Optimus to be, I get the feeling his main point of reference is G1 and the Bumblebee movie, which is good.

 

i mean, those characters are getting studio series toys

 

nobody learned anything from tlk's failure, bumblebee's success, or any of the finer details.

g1 optimus primes sell and right now beast wars is really selling. so we're getting a g1 prime and some bay-ified beast wars guys. maybe a slightly more energon-y arcee.

 

im sure that theyre also gonna adopt the fatherly figure from g1 into his personality and mix it with the bay prime's fighting prowess

 

Isn’t that like saying instead of watching Star Wars buy the toys? This makes no sense.

 

I have a feeling some of the bots that they said they couldn’t mention where them I mean how else would you explain why there not these (especially since those are the only Autobots on Earth)
