Wasn't she hot pink in ROTF? Plus, with the descriptions we got, she doesn't seem anything like how she looked in ROTF.

I'm not even sure I know what I saw in ROTF. That movie was such a mess.

 

In a franchise where the main characters are constantly being re-released in different colorschemes, this has to be the worse arguement I have even seen.

 

All descriptions of this Mirage character peg him as an anti-authoritarian uptight character, so he was probably named that because someone pointed out that Mirage in the 80s show had a personality that could synch with that.

 

It's the Bayverse folding in on itself, likely hoping to launch the Beast Wars out of the explosion like new stars. I'm so confused. I thought we were doing a 90s buddy cop movie still. Now we are back to dressing up one character as another and inverting timelines.

 

Descriptions from insider who has seen art has confirmed red and white. That’s the same place that’s given us info on all the characters.

A part of me thinks Scourge will be a really intimidating villain. It'd be nice to see him take the spotlight!

 

Were all the GT-40s destroyed filming Ford v Ferrari if we didn't want him driving around as an F1 car? Or, like literally anything but that particular car?

 

I'm just going to hold out hope for a good story.

I got excited for the first "live action" transformers movie and didn't get what I wanted until 6 movies later for 10 minutes. Not that I didn't like the film for what it was at the time (and still do, because I've grown to like the films over time), but that's not what anyone of us who grew up with G1 expected lol.

I will eagerly wait for more news on this subject before I make any judgements. I want this to be good!

Was really hoping the beast wars movie would be separate from the direction Bumblebee was going, but I guess not. Genuinely no disrespect to Beast Wars fans, I'm glad y'all are getting your time in the spotlight, but man it's just not my vibe.

I've been outta the TF fandom roughly since 2014, Bumblebee pulled me back in and I was really surprised that there hadn't been any media released during my absence that appealed to me, and none after either. Was really hoping the sequel would be interesting to me but from the sound of it, I guess I'll be hibernating in this fandom for a while again. Might watch it just for Arcee and to give it a fair chance but I gotta admit I'm disappointed :\ On the bright side, my expectations are really low, so maybe it wont take that much for me to enjoy it lol.

Scourge sounds like a fun antagonist. He has the potential to be something really unique when compared to previous TF movie antagonists. I hope that they keep the amount of robots per faction limited (five Autobots, five Maximals, etc.) so that we have time to explore the characters. As a side note, I'm really hoping they give us a definitive answer as to what continuity this film takes place in because I don't think I can take another year of bickering and debates.

 

If the goal is robots in disguise it's tough to hide if you're driving around as a formula-1 racer.

Where do you get this idea that Mirage is not allowed to be a porsche model that Jazz never was just because Jazz was a different porsche model once upon a time? Why are we even assuming this Mirage is an adaptation of G1 Mirage and not merely a name reuse akin to Blitzwing the Red and White Seeker?

 

I mean, getting to that seems to be the primary goal of Kingdom and this movie, so I'd be disappointed if we didn't. Prime and Primal, what a poster, twist the story until it fits. I feel bad for BW hardcores that just wanted to see the series updated.

 

still, thats not evidence that this is gonna tie in with the bayverse, this is because in the bayverse:
a. the autobots dont arrive on earth untill 2007
b. there were no beasts in the bayverse
c. the completely different designs

 

It's the perfect storm.

G1 fans are mad the beast era is joining the live action universe. Bayverse fans are angry that it continues to pivot away from the stories/characters they liked. Beast fans are angry because the wrong characters will be used or left out. And all three are gonna be mad because it's not a 1:1 retelling of any of the original stories these characters originated from.

Meanwhile the rest of us just want to see a live-action style Magnaboss figure.

Meh. If any of us want the BW story told back to us the original series is readily available in multiple media formats.
