I really hope we get more Maximals than the three named in that press release. I would rather they sacrifice a few Autobots to give them more focus.

 

I think it's awesome that they want to try something new. I'm really game for seeing something unique here. Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal as separate co-existing characters sounds really interesting.

That said, I just hope the scale doesn't blow up too quickly. We went from a quaint Bumblebee movie with a core cast of three robots and a handful more cameos, to this movie that's seemingly going to have five factions in play at once.

 

Fuck if anything, I'm excited we're getting a Japanese car in a movie for once—and it being a GT-R too. Give me all of the Nightbird toys, please.

Based on what we have so far, ignore the decepticons. But there could be more characters revealed. I would be surprised if Megatron doesn’t feature in some way.

On an unrelated note, I’m getting Transformers (PS2) game vibes. For those who don’t know, it was a Japanese exclusive game from years back.

 

This sounds awful. Like Bayverse 'throw shit and see what sticks. But if nothing sticks, the film will still probably have made $950m before the world realises that it's shit.'

I have the biggest man crush for Anthony Ramos, but no more Hailee Steinfeld is a huge bummer. Especially since they're moving almost a decade forward.

I really hope this is the case. I want Decepticons to be scary again. Michael Bay did the Cons JUSTICE in the first movie(only the first movie). They were like OP terminators, terrifying.

 

Didn't they say Prime is new to the Earth and is learning how to be a leader in Rise of the Beasts, wasn't Prime leader in Bumblebee and show up on Earth at the end, how is he new to Earth then?

 

Sounds awesome! Hopefully hasbro have stepped in and bought the rights to produce *SCREEN ACCURATE* Vehicle modes.

 

They\'ve finally worked out how to make a worse movie than The Last Knight.
 

 

Sounds like it has good potential. Obviously not following the original Beast Wars too much, which is probably a good thing. I would rather a new story that homages the BW while doing its own thing, instead of an attempted reboot which butchers the original. I also like the sound of Anthony Ramos\' human lead. He sounds very respectable. 

This all leaves me cautiously optimistic.
