It's pretty cool if you can see it. On some films it doesn't add much, but some do a really good job of making use of it. The Avatar movies are some of the best examples of this, especially the newest one.

I’ve worn glasses all my life and my best friend gets sick from 3D, so it’s not exactly something I look forward to.

Avatar 1 and 2 and Transformers DOTM, AOE and TLK are the only movies that I've seen in 3D that are really good in 3D. That's for a simple reason: they were shot with the most hi-tech 3D cameras whereas all the other movies I've seen were shot in 2D with standard 2D cameras and then "3D enhanced" with a software. Obviously there are more movies shot directly in 3D, like the Judge Dredd movie with Carl Urban (which is really a good movie) that I wasn't able to watch because they weren't screened in 3D in my country (or screened at all like Dredd).

So for ROTB is a simple choice for me: if it's been shot directly in 3D I'll see it in 3D, otherwise in 2D.

When I watch a film I want the screen to look smaller and darker than it is and for everything to look slightly out of focus. I'll definitely be watching this in 3D.

I’m actually really excited for it to be in 3D. Dark of the moon and age of extinction looked even better in the 3D format

Most likely just a reaction to avatar 2. Unlike that movie, ROTB likely isn’t filmed using cameras for 3D so probably won’t look all that good. I mean we’ve already seen how desaturated the film looks.

avatar one is reason I don’t like avatar series I went hate to ok had no choice see avatar one in imax and 3d imax audio I could barley hear people say imax have loud audio no not with avatar imax, and 3d sucked for avatar one it was blurry.

I saw blade runner two in theater in regular non imax screen music was freaking loud in blade runner two I got headache after I walked out of theater and music was loud than sound effects couldn’t hear cars crash nothing that was blade runner two in regular non imax theater non 3d.,

only movie I will see in 3d transformers most of movies I saw in 3d that’s was perfect with no blurry look to it in 3d was transformers let’s see if transformers rise of beast will hold up stay true in 3d stay non blurry with 3d effects in motion

yes avatar is knock off to dances with wolves, Pocahontas, fern gully last rain Forrest , movies all avatar has it going for is colorful visual effects take colorful visual effects all avatar will have nominated for sound at Emmy’s and golden globes nothing more nothing else

Yeah, if Avatar 2 didn’t do good they probably wouldn’t have done that. Also yeah it’s definitely unlike Avatar and Avatar 2 not filmed in 3D so it’s probably not gonna be as good or ad immersive as those film.

3D in my local theaters usually looks awful so I'll watch it the normal way, thank you very much.

Yeah, some people will have those issues. If your friend is to ever try 3d in attempts to overcome the motion sickness, start with smaller films. Movies like Avatar 2 will definitely make your friend sick, especially in some of the scenes shot in higher resolutions.

I doubt the 3D will look as good as Avatar 2. This was probably shot with non 3D cameras and will be converted in 3D in post.

If 3D is the best they can do then that's just pathetic and really it's just another sign of how bad this movie is that they think we'll be impressed by it. I mean they should really have been able to make this movie in 5D, it just goes to show how little they care about The Fans that they didn't make us capable of perceiving another dimension. Thanks ParaSHIT and HasBLOW!

If it wasn't filmed in 3D, then for the love of god don't go see it in 3D.

While movies like Avatar and Gravity pushed 3D movies ahead, it was post-conversion 3D movies that killed them off. Avatar 2 has just come along and shown everyone how good it can be when done right, and already the studios are trying to kill it with this post-conversion crap? FFS.

Went to see the re-release of the first Avatar back in september before Avatar 2. Honestly the 3D was really good for both. One of the few times I didn't have a problem with it.

Yeah it is sad that studios don't fully commit into 3D, if they want to do 3D, atleast do it the right way.

Plenty of movies borrow or are inspired by other movies. That's nothing new.
