Thundercracker Saves The Day: 'Transformers: Revolution' #1
I must have this one in my hands!! What is that?!!?! xD Gotta love Thundercracker! xD
This feels like a Spotlight issue based of the preview and Rom might just lose his "Wraithslayer" nickname to Marissa Faireborn.
Those Wraiths went down way too easily if you ask me. I guess Marissa Faireborn is just that good.
Yeah, but those Wraiths are basically just cannon fodder and I think things are gonna get rougher for the heroes before it's over.
And we shall see just how Cybertronians fare against Wraith's.
This is also going Andrew Griffith's last issue.
Yeah, that's right. Now I'm sad again.
Wait, did he pass away or is this his finally issue?
He didn't pass away, he's just leaving Transformers to work on other stuff.
Why did the humans turn into dinosaurs?
They're Dire Wraiths. Rom's main villains.
Uh, okay. Hope this gets cleared up in the issue. As a one-shot it should be self sustained without us having to know why the staff of the president was turned into dire wraiths all of a sudden in the midst of a conversation.
Well, they were just talking about how some new aliens had compromised the government...
Will Chris Ryall finally realize that people read TF comics to read about TRANSFORMERS, not about the inner politics of Washington? Seriously, the human cast has grown too large by now. I can barely keep track of who is who these days when I skim over these not-MTMTE books out of necessity (really, I only read them because they are officially about TFs...)
They don't look very wraith-like. When you hear "wraith", you think of ghostly things in black cloaks, or the ringwraiths of Sauron, not... eyeless plant things with weird teeth. Also, why did these idiots even transform and use melee weapons when they were pretending to be guards with GUNS?
Is this the first we've seen of Marisssa at IDW? How is she this old already? Is she not the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye in IDW continuity?
I was all set to ignore every single Revolution-related thing out there but I will make an exception for Thundercracker rescuing the PotUS and saving the frickin' world because Thundercracker is The Best.
She's been in the comic since Ex-RiD issue 28. And no she is not, G.I. Joe is now a part of this continuity and all of its events take place post-All Hail Megatron. Flint and Lady Jaye are still around as well.
Well congratulations, IDW, on having that make no sense then. You've done it again!
They have sorcerers that look more Wraith like. And in the Marvel comics, they looked like blobs. IDW changed their appearance drastically.
If want a better idea of what they're like, check out Rom's comic book. The Wraith's can be rather terrifying.
.......no? She was introduced into IDW before the decision to retcon the G.I. Joe books into TF continuity for Revolutionaries. A cover for an upcoming issue of Revolutionaries looks like they'll be exploring whatever the connection between her and Flint in this continuity is.
