Don't know if many (or any really) care to know this, but Japan gets Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen--or Transformers: Revenge, as it's called over here--one day sooner, the 19th. Japan's early date places it as the first country to have the film playing nationwide! ...I have to decide whether to see it by myself or with my wife...wonder if she'll be upset if I go alone, as I don't want to have to wait one week after its release to see it Source: http://www.tf-revenge.jp/ Transformed
Gah! At this rate, the whole rest of the world is going to have seen it before the U.S. And no, I'm not saying, "'Merica is #1 and should get it first!!11!"... I just want to see the damned thing. Also, in b4 piracy nonsense.
Now you know how it feels to live in Japan waiting for Hollywood movies to make their way to Japan's shores...only we usually have to wait anywhere from one month to a year and a half! It's nice to get at least ONE movie before everyone else Transformed
Oh, I'm well aware of this, and I feel for you. I'm just eager to see the movie, especially after the drooltastic clips at BotCon.
I'm wondering what items the theaters will have for sale once it hits. Usually theaters have all sorts of goodies on sale to go with the movies being shown (eg. very detailed movie books (Japanese print), soundtracks, toys, games, lighters, stickers etc.). I don't know if they'll have items for sale only at theaters, but I wouldn't be all too surprised if that's the case, as it's expected to do well again, and what better way to get people into the theaters than by releasing an exclusive available only to those who go to the theater to watch the film? LOL! Are the dates above, New Zealand and the UK's, resent changes or old dates? I ask because the page linked in the first post states that Japan is the first to have. We'd still beat the UK by some hours due to our time difference, but there is no way we'd beat New Zealand, which is what one/three hours ahead of Japan? Transformed
It's misleading because this is a primarily US-based forum. You neglected to mention anywhere in the title or first couple sentences of your post that you were referring to Japan. So it's not misleading for you, but it is misleading for the majority of the people here.
I thought the same thing. Good for those in Japan, bad for those of us not. I can't wait to see this movie!
