Recently the Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Developer build kit was leaked. It was found on an old hard drive and shared via ReEnergized discord. Hopefully we can see more mirror links shared soon so that others can check this out for themselves.

4 new maps that were in development, debug options, Grimlock character, being able to play as Ai and more.

    Special thanks to: Element

This game was so fun, I had a blast playing the SP and the MP modes. Seeing what’s very obviously IDW Grimlock present is very strange, I wonder if he was supposed to be part of a second DLC pack with the other maps? Maybe sales of the first DLC weren’t strong enough to justify a second pack.

I remember finding info on this developer build, because I distinctly remember seeing one of the Devs talk about development on the Gamespot forums and his avatar showed the G1 Prime in a snowy stage and this alluded me for the longest time. I began to think I somehow mandela-effected myself or my memory was just being unreliable.

    Low and behold... snowy stage!

Also some Ken Christiansen concept art showed off potential new DLC characters such as G1 Grimlock, movie-verse Cyclonus, a Junkion and even Springer! The ROTF game was pretty based all around and this additional content would've made it even better.

I just found out that the company behind this game were planning to to make the next TF movie game. Controls created for TF3 in the debug settings. Really interesting and makes you wonder what they had planned.

Man I remember hearing about this not too long ago and being really saddened by it. Luxoflux did a fantastic job and I'm glad that the last of their work gets to be seen, if only we lived in the timeline where it was able to be completed.

I do hope this devkit could be used to make a better ROTF PC port with new content.

So yesterday the dev build for revenge of the fallen suddenly appeared and we got some new information and first looks at some of the unused maps for what would've been the next transformers game

I decided to make this thread for fun and thinking of possible theories and ideas for what this game would've been about while also hearing yours... for me I say it would be a rough 86 movie adaption because of the Quintessa and junkion maps

As for what the game play would be, I'm not 100% sure but I say it would probably be something of a fighting game seeing how small some of the maps are. I say that because junkion and Quintessa (the ladder more so) feel like fighting arenas with one of the test maps having piles of junk showing it rise up and enemy spawn from it

Junkion also feels like a level hub of sorts where you can talk to some characters and each one has a mission they can give you

My theory I wouldn't say is supported but the grimlock model seen also adds a tiny bit of weight to my rough 86 movie adaption... but it isn't saying much, for all we know this could've been some dlc content originally planned for the game but who knows.

What do you think? I like to hear your ideas and theories on this, be civil, don't take this too seriously, and have fun theory-crafting and sharing possible ideas and reactions to this

The human city map and the snowfield don't really give me 1986 vibes since those locations weren't in it. I could see it as having essentially been a version of Rise of the dark spark that didn't suck, two different continuities mashed together so that assets can be reused. I just wonder if this was planned to be a in between game between ROTF and DOTM, or if this would have been the DOTM tie-in.

Which i believe those were unused maps for rotf sense one of the levels in the wii version of the rotf video game is strangely an artic level

As for the human city, could be a test map sense it's very small and crowded
