Nope! That's pretty much exactly how they should be read. I'm glad you guys like this, I was a little hesitant to read the reactions. I'll explain why the Dinos are this way in the next post, which might be later today, or certainly tomorrow.
Ah, going for the Comic Charactizations (at least close where the Dinobots speak normally) over the cartoon
Never expected the Dinobots to be taken pages from Thor and the other Viking god characters but I dig it all the same.
There's the Grimmy we know and love. Very neat take on the Dinobots! I'm totally not going to steal it.
Nice to see the update Nice twist though. To change the brains from civilized to combat. A nice mix of brain and brawn. Logic vs. Primal Instinct. You handled this well.
Well, thank you! This came from an idea that came at me from when I'd first gotten voyager AoE Grimlock. I had just gotten him out of the box and was getting the hang of the transformation. At one point I got him into robot mode and was studying details, when... I don't know, something about the big shoulderpads and the way the helmet looked and the big maul staff thing, my mind just went "shaman." I had no idea why but I could totally see that guy sitting around a campfire and telling tales of wisdom to his fellow Dinobots. This all fit in really well with the "knight" aesthetic that all of those figures had, so I started playing around with the idea that that's what they were - knights. Ancient warriors of valor and honor that went full-on berserk when they turned into dinosaurs. It's not as quite a perfect fit for the G1 Dinobots, but the idea of shifting personalities during transformation still sort of stuck, and when I started to get the PotP Dinos and I was writing them into Reformatted, I couldn't resist putting in another one of my little pet headcanons. I'm really happy you guys are digging it. Your enjoyment and your feedback are what keep me going. Thank you so much.
I love the character development for Bumblebee and the origins of the Dinobots here. The personalities for the Dinobots here are fairly unique, too. Great updates!
I do agree on gettin' more or less both kinds of Dinobots at once with such an explanation that justifies both forms for once ^^
Got caught up.....awesome as always......... So, so far we have Combiners, Dinobots, Wreckers (?).......any chance of the Monsterbots showing up? As maybe a Merc Squad brought in to at least keep the Decepticons busy (by dividing their forces)
