reboot for cast bot meaning what robot do you want to be in the reboot!

Autobots should be Optimus Prime as commander; Jazz and Prowl as first and second Lieutenants; Bumbleebee (Who can actually speak this time) and Cliffjumper as scouts; Ratchet as the medic; Ironhide as the weapons expert; Jetfire for air conflicts (mostly as an enemy for Screamer and his seeker unit); and Sideswipe and Sunstreaker as the front line soldiers.

Decepticons should be Megatron as commander, Starscream and Soundwave as first and second lieutenants; Skywarp and Thundercracker as Screamer's seeker unit (they would serve hit and run disruption purposes and front line aerospace combat mostly); Ravage, Lazerbeak, Rumble (Blue), and Frenzy (Red) as the Wave unit (scouting, infiltration, sabotage, and surveillance); G1 style constructicons (constructing Megatron's devices/secret weapon against the bots with their combiner tech as Devastator!); Shockwave as the strategist and for logistics; and Astrotrain for transport, extra muscle, and he would look damn cool triple changing on camera.

Just my thoughts...

 

More characters that I would've used, and somewhat imbalanced in terms of each faction's power (the Cons have an edge with a Triple Changer, the cassette bots and the Constructicons/Devastator) , but still a very nice suggestion.

Actually, I'm of the mindset that the factions actually should be imbalanced, so that when the Autobots win, it's a more satisfying win since they had to struggle more to defeat the more powerful Decepticons. Kind of like how most people don't want to read a Superman Batman fight where Superman wins because he's more than powerful enough to destroy every hero on Earth by himself (what chance would the Bat really have if Supes went all out?), a Man of Steel losing to the World's Greatest Detective is far more entertaining of a read (in my eyes) since it shows how one man can overcome far superior beings with creativity and cunning (and a little green k ring). I always felt that the Autobots should be outnumbered so the struggle is really in the cons favor until Optimus uses the Matrix to finally overcome all the odds. Just my two cents.

Oh, also, Jazz would not die in this version. He would be promoted to Jazzimus Prime after Optimus' death in the third movie (much as I like Hot Rod as Rodimus, always thought Prime's right hand should have a chance to be upgraded to leader in some form of Transformers fiction) until Prime came back as a powermaster/target master named Prime Maximus to defeat underbase powered Emperor Starscream. Jazz would also have a new alternate mode of a Porsche Cayenne.

Damn you Hasbro, let me make a TF Movie!!!!!!  

 

Anything with Overlord, Dreadwind and Darkwing in it would have my vote for an awesome movie! Sixshot, too.

maybe just keep the original g1 cast and give it a g1 feel to it. such as: optimus, cliffjumper, bumblebee, hound, ratchet, etc...

 

also put in wreck=gar voiced by wierd al. we need comedic relief in a robotic form. wierd al you goofy bastard....
