Could be but I could easily see it being just the design for him changed. Which I think it looks better.

 

I'm loving all the designs and stuff, not so much the indication of the monetization model.

I'm aware it makes a lot of money so it's 'logical' for these companies to utilize it, but it's still predatory and not something I wish to support.

I personally would love to see this game be like how star wars battle from 2 is right now... minus the rampant cheating. I love that game and have played the hell out of it. But a destiny clone would pretty neat too. Don't know nuthin about warframe tho...

No. Modern gaming makes the majority of its revenue from micro transactions. This game will almost certainly be no different. It’s likely free-to-play, so it’s expected.

But even if they decided to charge the $60-$70 price tag of most modern games, it’s unfortunately likely that micro transactions will still play a big part in the game, especially with its multiplayer focus.

 

$30? I wish, that was back during like the PS2 era.

All big names just bumped up all the prices of AAA games to $70. If they charge full price, it'll be more like $60, which in the long run, I am more ok with paying up front for a completed quality product.

 

I'm hoping it isn't too long until we hear more info about the game. Presumably we're still going to have a lot of fan streams so we could get a steady stream until E3. I'm just hoping it isn't a complete blackout until then.

 

Just curious do we know what VG’s Steve Blum is doing for 2023? Because he uploaded a video of him stating he’s finished recording his mocap for a 2023 game.

Why would he do mocap for this? Transformers have never be mocapped before because there was never a point. Steve Blum is in half of everything, most likely got a role in another video game.

 

For something Like WFC/FoC I'd agree, but since they already have a heavy emphasis on human characters and the EDC, he could have done it for a side human character he plays or just for a side human character in general.

Especially if it was for a cutscene or something

 

I completly forgot about this games emphasis on human characters.

 

Either for a random human character they can hse or just for Starscream’s face expressions in cutscenes. Also I think it’s dope if we get mocap for TF’s.

Kinda but it still can work. Especially for capturing facial performances even if they are robotic.

 

I'm gonna assume you recognize the sheer irony of ending this post with a gif from Hat Fortress 2. Because as much as I love that game, this whole situation is Valve's fault. It was their idea to hire licensed psychologists to intentionally engineer microtransactions to be as satisfying as possible to our monkey brains. And the industry has never recovered since.

Personally, I find it odd that people have convinced themselves that Ironhide and Jazz are A-listers, precisely because of how little relevancy they have had in the franchise for the majority of its life.

That picture with the list of characters, with the very prominent words "Activated" and "Equipped" says to me that at least at the time of the build the picture was from, those characters were not actually characters. They were more likely equippable abilities represented as calling in an ally to do an attack. Now, Starscream and Bumblebee are supposed to be actual playable characters, but that could just mean you can call them in for an attack as well as play as them.

Then again, I've never played Warframe, so maybe that screen is how unlocking frames looks like.

And let me just say, boy do I wish this was more like Borderlands than Warframe/Destiny. Being like Warframe/Destiny means it is very unlikely I'll play this. Oh well. Hopefully we at least get figures of the designs.

 

Alright since I am currently having this debate, would you like to have playable characters be humans in exo suits like Spikes?



Humans are already seen in exo frames, so would you like to play as like a DLC character or something of Spike's Exosuit? I know people have mixed feelings about humans in Transformers, but would you be interested in playing one in a variation of Spike's Exosuit.
