I hope we get these as action figures, I\'m really digging the alt modes. 

 

Cinematic Trailers are hardly a credible source however. There are many great cinematic trailers for games that are completely contrary to gameplay style.

plusI think we’re forgetting how these types of trailers are suppose to garner attention, and what better way to do that by withholding the big reveal to the end of the trailer (the shift from human eye level to Cybertronian eye level, which is emphasized through first person perspective)

 

The mad max look is super neat. I really loved the 3 wreckers from DotM and these feel in the same vein (just alt mode I mean). I too hope we get figures

 

Those designs look really good. Not your normal looking bots but instantly recognisable. Thats where some tf media has fallen short they change up too much and lose the character as a result, but these despite being different you can instantly tell who it is. Im getting excited for this with every new bit of info

 

I\'ve asked for this for years, a post apocalyptic transformers! Dark and gritty with mature story telling. These designs are hitting the mark 

 

As a TF collector or maybe just a toy collector it’s like my second thought when I see a design to kinda immediately want a toy of it.

i wanna, i really wanna see a good game AGAIN, but i really dont think this will be near as good as the activision games, gameplay probably will be nice and all but i really doubt the story will be

 

This does match the other leaks we\'ve been seeing as far as designs go.  Looks like they\'re trying to emulate what the WFC trilogy (the games) did.

 

This image is from 2018. Back when the game was in the hands of the other developer. But holy shit has this one been rattling around for a long time.


These screenshots should not be taken as glimpes of what the game might become. As often times when a game is taken from one developer studio to another, the second studio isn’t always able to take pre-existing assets and models and add on to them. Most of the time when this happens the studios use different Engines, and you cannot just plug assets and models made in one game engine into another and expect them to work, so development has to start over from scratch.


I’d say the games story, premise, and character designs where all finalized and approved by Hasbro… four years ago it seems, and those have undoubtedly carried over into the final product we will get. But the game most likely had to be re-built from the ground up after the switch.

 

Oh. Sunstreaker getting some love in anything already has my attention.

Hot Rod looks really good, too.
And Ironhide has a face that resembles the "grizzled, tough old guy" perfectly. XD

 

So is this supposed to be like Overwatch or tower defense games?

I'm happy to see Sunstreaker in something new.

They are both using Unreal 4, so the only reason they wouldn't fully take them, or add onto/modify them, would be purely design choice on their own accords. From what I have heard so far, the asset transfer shouldn't have been as painful, as they were using the same engine. From the leaks, the mechanics were solid, but the story wasn't, and what we have seen so far is that the designs are indeed based off of these, but modified to a degree, so take it with a grain of salt. I imagine the characters will look similiar enough, but not exact to these designs.
