For me, I know better than to let a CG cut scene drive any hype ever.
For the record, the more life-like the graphics the less interested I am. They mean nothing to my enjoyment of the game play.
And anything that appears to be first person is of little interest to me. The only first person game I've ever played that I actually liked is Metroid Prime.
Lastly, the more humans I see in a Transformers game, the less interested I am.

It’s from people who worked at the same company as Warframe. The people brought in from there will have no say in any actual monetization schemes.

The hover makes better close and fluid combat, while normal driving could slow down gameplay, but be more realistic. From the designs I have seen, there doesn't seem to be any hover modes, so I am going to assume their is none.

 

pretty hyped on this, really reminds me of wfc but in a real world apocalyptic way which i'm all for. Definitely gonna get this.

 

If that invading force is anything other than the cons or quintessons than this is just a generic sci-fi game and not really transformers

 

Looks SUPER generic.  Nothing except the final shot of a robot\'s hands even remotely resembles Transformers.  Looks like they made a game and stuck the TF license on it after the fact.

He's got the Hound-ish face, the same Green-ish, and his Iconic gun, so I would wager this is indeed Hound

I HATE this type of trailer and the trend needs to die. Show a game. Save your cinematics for in the game itself. Nothing to judge other than this snoozefest of a cinematic.

 

Not overly a ton, just a little bit about him talking about Delvin and how he was like a younger version of Ratchet, and then maybe a few other blurry shots that might be him.

 

This looks terrible. I wouldn't even know it's meant to be Transformers without the logo plastered onto it.

I hope the game is actually good, because we sorely need another good Transformers game. War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are great, and I'm disappointed they were never followed up. It seems a lot of people are only just discovering those games now, many years after the fact (and now that the Fall of Cybertron digital-only ports are no longer available to buy, so you have to get a physical copy for PS3 or Xbox 360).

This though... I don't like it. The melodrama, the music, the entire game looking like Alex Kurtzman "adapted" All Hail Megatron (and took his signature dump on it while he was at it)... Man, I hope the game is good and not whatever this garbage is in this trailer.

 

I mean it's got a cool concept going for it, so I will give it that.

It's not the typical Autobot V Decepticon storyline and I dig it. It's a dark, gritty, and new take on what at times can be a little formulaic. It has very strong Mass Effect vibes, where the Reapers are here, and we are loosing, badly. It looks to be a team up of all sides vs the Legion, which I am directly assuming is related to the Quints. The humans don't look fucking uselss for once, one even has a exo-suit. Plus, I absolutely dig the Mad Max vibes.

TBH, the only reason why I knew it was Transformers was because it was a Splash Damage game and I immediately recognized Delvin and the Seekers. But yeah, I do see your point, it can be a little hard to justify it a bit. But I am hella intrigued because it has the possibility to be fucking epic, if the in lore explanation is well written.

And another TBH, each iteration of Transformers has always been, not everyone's cup of tea, and are typically kinda vastly different to appeal to a lot of audiences. Don't worry, I 100% do share some of your concerns as well, because the main script and story was re-written at least once, if not more.

I know many people will jump on me for being melodramatic here, but I have to say I really hate the current "licensing" team for Transformers... I mean, no ill will to that one girl who's always in the livestreams, I think she thinks she's trying her best... but it just seems like they keep making these games or putting Transformers in games with zero synergy, or in this case, it feels wayyy too off concept for what "TRANSFORMERS" should be. Granted, Michael Bay I think started this BS when he made his "alien bugs come to earth and run amuck!" movies, but the Transformers were always more "Kryptonian/Star Trek" type aliens than they were "ALIEN/Predator" type aliens... I also can't imaging who thought it would be a good idea to try marketing something to Transformers fans that's 90% humans in the trailer? Like, I legitimately get the feeling/impression that no one involved with this has seen one episode of the original show--not that that's the only credible incarnation, just the most archetypal (in before people are like "ermigerd, shut up geewunner!1!1!").
