yeah the funny thing here in akron ohio all you see is transformers every where...everyday there has been big stories about it in the paper....hell there was a guy in the city i grew up in who had his name legally changed to optimus prime. but the name transformers has been everywhere...people who never liked it before the movie has told me they went to see it and being there was no real compition this weekend with other movies it has lived up to it's hype. the movie was awsome and was more than i had expected....but the best part was that other movies moved their release date to make way for transformers...and next week i'd say who's harry potter? i think after the first 3 people started giving up on that one....

I am pretty impressed that it was able to do so well. What really matters is the approval ratings, which is positive. That means people will go back and see it again.

According to Boxofficemojo, it's up to $188,753,961 after Saturday's returns and Sunday's estimates.

Movie's now making money and could get close to $200M in its first week.

Friday take: $22.5M Saturday take: $25.9M

    Sunday is estimated at $19.2M

Domestic total is est. at $152M alone, which means it has broke even on the U.S. take alone.
