Skyfire's a good size. If they do scramble city combiners or more japanese g1 combiners I hope they're closer to that, but raiden barely reaches MP skyfire's shoulders

Now that I've got him, I agree with those who say he's fiddly and those who say he's massive, as in he has a lot of mass! 20240420_135114~2.jpg

Agreed. Even when the actual character scale is "correct" based on animation models, giant MPs that are 18-20+ inches just look wrong to me...like they're meant to be a novelty oversized scale. No "copium" here--I'm simply not interested in gigantic combiners that don't fit in with the rest of my collection.

Received my Kaen set yesterday. He immediately became my favourite with Shouki falling to the second place. He may be the shortest in the group, but he's certainly not the worst one (I’m looking at you, Yukikaze). IMG_2722.jpeg IMG_2723.jpeg IMG_2725.jpeg IMG_2727.jpeg IMG_2729.jpeg IMG_2730.jpeg IMG_2735.jpeg IMG_2743.jpeg IMG_2770.jpeg IMG_2775.jpeg IMG_2778.jpeg

As far as Raiden goes, he’s not THAT floppy. I mean, he has tolerance and stability issues, but I was expecting them to be much worse. He’s able to stand without any support pretty nicely - a lot if reviews made it seem impossible.

It definitely isn’t the greatest figure, many things could’ve been done better, but he’s pretty nice. I spent over $720 in total on him, is he worth it? Not really. I would’ve been much more satisfied if I’d closed in $500, but I surely don’t regret getting this set.

    IMG_2780.jpeg IMG_2781.jpeg IMG_2783.jpeg IMG_2782.jpeg IMG_2800.jpeg IMG_2784.jpeg IMG_2786.jpeg IMG_2785.jpeg IMG_2787.jpeg IMG_2789.jpeg IMG_2791.jpeg IMG_2792.jpeg IMG_2795.jpeg IMG_2794.jpeg IMG_2796.jpeg

Now I just need to reorganise my CHUG shelves to fit him and a few other bots that arrived in the last few days.

I wish the chest and hips worked a bit better, but overall, I love the combined mode.

It amuses me how Yukikaze is on everyone's shit-list, when all his troubles could have been avoided with just a couple more tabs, or stronger ones.

I myself prefer the size of the regular Warbotron (about 14" to the top of the head) and would like if more combiners came to that height. I used to have the oversized Feral Rex and it was massive to an absurd degree, like if it suffered from a pituitary disorder or something.

To be honest from my own experience, I actually have not had any problems with his legs tabbing - I just don’t like how his legs look so much he’s at the bottom (and the broken knee which is ACTUALLY broken unlike MP-44)

The issue with Yukikaze is the leg tabs work really well when you first get it. But over time the green paint on the tab wears off

More tabs would help, but it would still be a nightmare of thin panels on thin sliders folded on top of each other.
I'd honestly have preferred if the back of his train parts formed into a backpack and his legs worked like Getsui's.

I still haven’t managed to grab neither Overbite nor Tentakil, so I had to figure something out. And as soon as I made custom Slingshot for my Superion, Alpha Bravo became the leg for Piranacon. It’s not perfect, but at least he can stand, and it’s not that noticeable on the shelf.

Each time I transform Getsuei, I am afraid of breaking him, especially for the leg mode when you flip the train front and have to bend the fragile joint!
I find that Yukikaze's transformation is quite astute legs-wise, once you get the hang of it. What a compression! And no partsforming.
The ones I am not too keen about are the arms Suiken and Seizan. I do not like these transformations where you have to twist multi-jointed arms and shoulders in bizarre angles. And the gigantic backpacks!

I'm finally about to transform Kaen from train into robot mode. Can anyone recommend me a good quality transformation video?
