I must say, Raiden could be a focused release for next year, if say 1 every 2 months.

Well I mean, they literally say that they're designing a MP Raiden (Keep in mind that I actually read Japanese and am not merely interpreting translations). There's no pre-existing mold for them to repaint so it is a new mold entry in the MP line.

While it could get its own number designation, like MPC-1 (as suggested by @T-Hybrid ) and the scale could be different from MP44 et al, it is by all means a MP Raiden :)

20". Here an old pic of the current 3p mp combiners next to mp36 and TE01 (same size as mp44) :

I'd imagine an MP Raiden to measure up pretty close.

    I own:
    HO scale high-speed locomotives
    HO scale Countach
    HO scale semi-tractor-trailer
    MP Countach
    N-scale high-speed locomotives.

Would people be interested in more size comparison pics?
(Sorry, sold off MP-10, so can't compare to HO semi)

Indeed there isn't, but they could technically just make more engineered and well-done generations figures and release them under the name. After all, the company decides what to call an MP, not us.

Unless TT gets more reasonable with their prices on MP\'s (which is NOT likely), this will be my first real MP pass aside from recolors.  I can\'t justify a $1200 combiner (or more possibly) when the 3rd Parties will put out a quality product too once they see the demand.  Or the 4th Party companies will put out limbs for a reasonable price.

Right, but it wouldn't be a Generations toy if it was released under the MP banner first.

It just gets better and better. Raiden confirmed at last, and it's MP and official to boot!
    Happy Days!

    yep

Just saying with all the expectations of 6 insanely engineered figures, they could easily make what pretty much is just a suped-up generations figure.

I am guessing at least $600 and will be similar in size to combiner wars devastator.

Absolutely. We are in uncharted waters and have no idea what this will look like other than it will most likely be very screen accurate and have real world accurate alt modes to appeal to the scale train crowd.

Having the OG designer on board makes me think it'll be sometime special though.

    Jesus Christ.... stop being asinine...
Read the fucking translated interview blurb on the front page and stop saying it will be a simplified version stuffed into the MP line.

i'm finding it quite amusing that people think their first mp combiner is going to be titan class size :lol  and using mpm and beastwars as an argument when raiden is part of the japanese g1 and they stick to a certain scale for g1 mp's :lol

I repeat that CW/UW Devastator was designed essentially to be an MP... yet it pretty much defines "Titan Class Size."

I dispute any assertion that, had CW/UW actually been released as an MP, it would have been even larger.

you got in before my edit cw devy is not really valid as being mp if it were mp it would have it in the title

also if it had been released as an mp it would have been bigger because they stick to their own scale chart for g1 mp releases

I also repeat that this has not been consistently the case even within the MP line. How many Optimus Primes in different sizes do we have now?

Long story short, we don't know what this will be, and people should stop acting like we do.

    I’d say that’s a fair estimate.

the last 2 are a hair different in size they have been consistant since rodimus prime so it really has consistently been the case that they stick to the scale chart

"Since Rodimus Prime." That little bit, in itself, demonstrates that change has occurred. Who's to say it won't happen again?
