I think @Gamerlingual is going to TTS, you can see if he can pass the concern on. I think its more the shaft fits too well when it should be toleranced to slide back and forth pretty easily.

 

And hopefully their next attempt doesn't involve trying to chase a different demographic.

If they didn't use clear plastics, I would've get the entire set. The transparent windows actually make the train look a little less realistic because you can see the robot parts through them. Imho

 

I'm very conflicted. Actually the proxy doesn't cover import taxes, anime export is easier but i don't know if custom hits. Gonna find something domestic.

 

I think painted on windows look quite cheap. Yes it hides robot parts but the clear sheen really adds something aesthetically

 

my eyes are not the best but i am not seeing a crack i do see a stress on the foot where the pin goes through though

Can anyone vouch for animie-export? I never heard of them or ordered from them before.

I am hesitant because it looks like you have to pay the 27000 yen / $207 USD up front (then shipping added later? Guessing another $30 USD?) and release date is beyond the PayPal issue resolution window.

 

They been around for many years. I used to order from AE for MPs, LG/UW Japanese releases including the TTMall exclusives like this set. you pay up front for the item, then shipping separately when the item is released. shipping can get high quick with larger boxes and items especially when combined. Now i use Amazon Japan, but they don't have TTmall exclusive though

 

Pretty good chance Takara shows off the box before the PO window closes. If it does hold 6 boxes its going to be a rather large, which would make it even more expensive importing it from overseas.

 

I've been using them for close to 10 years. Yes, shipping can get expensive, but they will hold your purchases indefinitely if you want to combine shipping. I had Shouki and Getsuei ship together.

As some had recommended, I'm going to wait a bit to see if Pulse gets the box in. But I may just pass on it altogether. I don't think I need to spend an extra $100-200 on just a box and few extra accessories.

 

Anime-Export: I've got 51 completed orders with them since 2012 (Encore G1 Fortress Maximus) and I've never, ever been disappointed by them in all those years and with all those figures. I'll most certainly vouch for them any time I can and I can highly recommend them. Yes, they demand payment up front (although more recently they changed their policy so you can pay when an (regular) article comes into stock). But they pass on the discounts, which are often 30% from the get go for Transformers, for early payments.

Well, seeing the stock images of the combined mode got me to buy these guys. I like how chonky he is.
