    The "Project" makes me think it'll be a series - Masterpiece figures of the individual components of Raiden sold one at a time or in pairs like the Seacons?

    TiL: TFs has seriously messed with my sense of scale. Like, you know a train is that much bigger than a truck but decades of cartoons, comics and toys have convinced me "it's close enough." :D

    So if MP-50 isn't Raiden, and 51-56 are his components, then what the hell is 50? Ginrai? Fort Max? Fire Convoy?

    I don't think you can compare this to Unicron UNLESS, It's one Box Set with all six guys.(I don't think it's gonna be this way)
    Otherwise Unicron is a one time purchase, all the money at once.
    At least with this, and most 3P MP combiners, it's buy one guy here for X amount, and wait Y amount of time to buy the next guy. It's spaced out.

    And Raiden isn't extremely well known, but big enough fans know him. And if the thread is anything to go off of, people are excited.
    I've been crying for a Raiden for forever; MP or otherwise.

    Crazy to think how close we are to MP-50 now. I remember finding this forum around the time MP-01 came out and I thought that would be the last and only Transformer I’d ever need because it would’ve been the centerpiece of my collection.

    ^This. I’d like to see HO scale trains...which would probably make the bot modes roughly carbot sized...which would make the combined mode roughly CW Devastator sized. I personally think anything larger would be too large. But, whatever would maximize happiness amongst who actually want to get it would be the preferred option...whatever the hell that might be. :rolleyes:  I dig TFs...and I dig trains...but this will likely be pricier than I would want to spend on a figure/team I have no attachment to.

    MP-20: wheeljack
    MP-25: tracks
    MP-30: ratchet
    MP-35: Grapple (lol)
    MP-40: Targetmaster Hot Rod
    MP-45: BB v2.0

    from a "I need this character to round out my season x cast" they are high profile releases. But they aren't exactly marquis names. Megatron is the highest profile name after Prime and he was an ignominious #36.

    Knowing Takara, it will be Starscream v 3.0, and all the repaints that such an announcement entails.
