well seeing on the g1 toy the pack pack wings where the whole front of the train that would come off and spread out to peg in and these seem to be trying to be more self contained with little parts forming

 

we still do not know how the hands will be all we have seen are the block test hands they could still be different on final release

that is most likely do to the clear plastic and how light was reflecting off the figure before they just darkened the image.

 

Got to give them credit for their marketing strategy for both Diaclone and MPs. Getting big releases in the hands of notable reviewers, cgi shorts, the promo videos, and public displays.

It's nice to see them not rely on just Figure King and shows. The transformers part both MPM and MPG were pretty well done as far igniting some enthusiasm. Especially that MPG music.

 

Less than a week from Getsuei release, and we don't have yet a review or a transformation video (and those two leakers, the rampage guy and his friend, are disappeared)

 

Will the release date be Friday September 23rd, or Friday September 30th? TakaraTomy always releases their MP's on the last Friday of the month, as far as I know. So it's actually a week and a half from release date.

 

Today is the 19 of the month, amazon say that it will arrive at home around 27-29, i'm at the other part of the planet, i think it will be released on 23

 

Release is always on the last Saturday of the month. So the 24th.

 

Shouki's transformation video went up that Friday, so I wouldnt be surprised if things repeat.

 

I just got my hands on Shouki at a recent comicon. Despite all his painted clear plastic he actually feels pretty tough. transformation is a blast, though im anxious about the metal strut that rests on his forehead in train mode. really hope that doesnt cause a big paint chip down the road.

Though i will say, im grateful im not going in on the whole combiner. the silhouettes look a little ropey, and after seeing how the arm trains will link up to shouki im anxious. Shoukis got these tiny 3 fold flaps that wrap around his folded arms in torso mode, and they house the combiner connections. it seems like theres a LOT of faith in how much that section can hold. i think Hasbros Raiden is gonna make a very pretty team of 6 trains, who form 6 pretty robots, who form a really hinky combiner.

We'll see when the day comes that we can actually form Raiden, but im good with just Shouki  

 

Forgot to upload this from the generation book. There was a big section devoted to "Headmaster" with sketch work for the figures. It would be pretty nice if the "wings" on Suiken can fold back

 

I think that the Suiken wings are simulating the extended backpack

 

Yeah, that's what I think they are homaging, same with displaying Getsuei with the front of the train off his back like the toy. In the toon they were just pictured as an overly big backpack, which is why I think maybe they will be able to foldover on the backpack if you want. Of course it depends on where they are attached for that to work.
