I know right? When will Takara realise there is a massive retro market for this guy, dig out the rusty moulds and release him??

Not to *ahem* derail this thread, but I started a thread about the VHS bot last year if you're interested

Link is below, so by all means comment. It needs resurrecting! :D  >>>>

    Mystery Transforming VHS Tape 'bot.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. The Zeta one doesn't look good either IMO. It'll probably take a long time, maybe it'll never happen, but I'm not in a hurry and I'm way past buying standins. If it's not exactly what I want, it won't fill the void in my collection anyway.

Uh... This is the exact opposite of everything that has ever been true of 3P pricing. There's no economy of scale.

    Headmasterpiece!

Something tells me MP Raiden will get a stand to support him in combined form, because I doubt that Kaen (the lower torso/pelvis unit) will be strong enough to handle the weight of 3 other MP Bots becoming a torso.

Fair enough. Certainly, Raiden doesn't feel like a high-priority character for Western fans. More a curiosity than anything. That's pretty much where the MP is catching my eye. And that slick-as-hell looking train mode is certainly piquing my interest as well. Even though I'm the furthest thing from the train buff, trains are still interesting to me because they aren't an alt-mode that I have a bazillion representations of already.

Most likely 119,800 yen for the entire combiner set or 83,160 yen with the 30% if it isn't a Takara Mall exclusive. Moon Studio will be 61,700 yen for their full set. For those keeping track of their budget.

First figure to be released in June of 2022 for 19,800 yen retail.

    Hmm “masterpiece”

can not believe the cope of ppl saying literally anything positive about bot mode. I was super excited for these but they don’t even meet the bare minimum aesthetic standard for generations. Hell they aren’t even fit for studio series

I would say wait for the combined mode before giving final judgement. It could be better than anyone realizes and would explain the design choice. I’m glad they are making this.

I mean technically any of the MP Combiner sizes works with WFC, just probably not the bot modes (Zeta's is slightly bigger than this guy how will most likely be UW Devastator/MMC height).

Japanese artists and designers always make some pretty cool robot designs.

I like what I see so far. The design reminds me more of the old MP designs instead of the cartoon accurate versions coming out now (MP-10 vs MP-44). My only worry so far is the bottom of the feet being very prone to paint chipping since Takara seems to alternate between good paint and extremely cheap paint every other release.

I'm super NOT familiar with this figure/cartoon/etc ....from those in the know, is this looking like a good rendition of the character/toy?

But you can see his combined mode right there. The kibble is not suddenly excused because it’s doing so much in torso mode—it’s doing nothing.

Imagine they reveal MP dragstrip and he’s got all that hanging off of him. Glad they did something obscure first, gonna guess this is why. They’re capable of more, can’t wait to see them grow this line into figures with three good modes

Yeah this worries me too, might have to get some felt or something for the shelves, that wont scratch and scrape at the paint.

This guy looks surprisingly good to me, though MP is generally out of my price range. Wish this was a Generations release

I will gladly make my judgement when I see their render of the combined mode. Too soon to tell. But I’m hoping scale wise, it will match the combiner Titan class. Moon Studio’s version should be the size of Zeta Superion and Bruticus
