I expect the same they did with Star Saber. Using God Ginrai as a example, the trailer will be included like Star Saber included the V-Star, and Godbomber would be a separate release.

Speaking of the "G", I just noticed the TRG on the left hip of the G1 Raiden.

    Train Gattai?

I’m guessing he will be closer to UW Devastator size since they have an active rivalry according to Raidens bio.

If this Saber project goes well enough, they may not do an "MPG" and just do a God Ginrai set for $180.

Hmm, I'll wait until PrimevsPrime reviews it in about 2 weeks before I decide if I'm down or not.

Several things you just said are not correct but I am going to let that drop to reiterate my statement. My complaint is the oversize sheets hanging from his back. Why couldn't they have minimized the sheets/backpack? It would be a gracious nod to the anime without the figure looking like a turd from the back. MP Ultra Magnus has fuax wheels on his feet that are tiny. They didn't have to do it but it was a fun nod that adds to the overall appearance.

Stuff hanging off his back looks about right to me.

It's a possibility. At this point we don't really have many elements for making accurate predictions, only time will tell.

Regarding Shouki, I admit that I wouldn't mind him being a little less bulky and kibbly, but what matter the most to me is how Raiden is going to look like. I hope Takara will show us some images before next June.

Hang on, didn't they already do a modern God Ginrai via the LG-EX God Ginrai set from Transformers: Legends? Or because that used an extensive retool, it doesn't necessarily count? (Don't know how much that set was originally.)

Not against a Super/God Ginrai do-over, but my main concern is that it won't happen for a couple of years...

I don't really understand your Ultra Magnus comparison. With Ultra Magnus they added a little extra engineering to make him look more like the animation model with the tiny toon wheels, when arguably the real wheels hanging out there would have been OK for many. A nice touch, I agree. With Shouki here, you're suggesting adding potentially a lot of extra engineering to make him look less like the animation model because you'd prefer that. Not the same thing, and I don't understand why they would do that.

...Is this some sort of conspiracy theory about Unicron not meeting the goal? Surely not.

Yeah there is already a recent God Ginrai. I don't have the figure but from what I heard it has lots of room for improvements. It's possible that Takara wants to make a better version, especially if Hasbro too is interested in a new Powermaster Optimus Prime, but it's also possible they think there is no need for a new chug representation of the character in the immediate future.

That's not going to stop them. Rodimus and Magnus both had figures in Prime Wars and were revisited for WfC.

I think MPG stands for MasterPiece: Genarations. Because there's no way that Raiden is in masterpiece scale. But it's a whole new series, so who knows what's in store.

It’s Masterpiece Gattai. "Gattai" is a Japanese word meaning combine and it’s right there in the promotional image.

    upload_2021-10-5_7-28-0.png

There’s no mystery about the name at this point, it’s a Masterpiece subline for combiners and Raiden is the first one in the line. :)

Curious to see which direction this lines skews, we're talking Devastator, and the other Sunbow combiners here and they're talking about the JP G1 combiners. Road Ceaser would make sense though, two sport cars and a dune buggy, even though I would hope they would ditch the all in one and have the partforming pants for him.
