My best guess is that Devastator is "good enough" in their eyes to be an MP stand in, so it made sense to do someone else first

 

Since a Japan-only train-former isn't the sort of thing I expect Hasbro to ever consider, this just might be my first Masterpiece.
Been wanting Raiden ever since the reveal, I'm glad they're at least designing him, even if there's still no word on an actual release.

 

Apparently the UW Devastator was originally conceived as an MP Devy before being moved to Generations, so them making Raiden the same size is probably why they see UT Devy as MP Devastator for now at least.

 

Those hands seem to have the same level of articulation as Sunstreaker’s and Hound’s, and maybe with an additional hinge for movement like MP-44’s thumb movement.

Really looking forward to seeing more of this one!

 

Actually surprised this is happening and that this ended up being the first MP Combiner but I'm not complaining at all. This is gonna hit the wallet and the space hard but totally gonna be worth it.

To be more accurate Hasui Shogo had plans for an MP Devastator that never happened. When he was assigned to do CW/UW Devastator he decided to recycle his plans to make the next closest thing he could. I'm not sure if TT overall had any actual plans for an MP Devy beyond just Hasui's own toying with the idea or not.

That bulk is actually pretty unique, since train-bots typically wind up quite lanky.

 

Since it looks like they are going to sell these individually,I wonder if they will try to get them completed by the end of the year? We really would be seeing Shouki pretty soon with an early 2022 release.

 

This is cool. I probably won't get it cuz I don't have the wallet to, but I'm still excited to see its release.

It’s nice to see they appear to actually be working on this thing! Hopefully the backs of the lower legs aren’t too unsightly. I’d be amazed if I ever end up getting this, but I’m still anxious to see it happen.

 

Fyi Shouki may be the leader but he's not the biggest Trainbot. Quite the opposite. He's the shortest among 6.
KAEN is the biggest as he is the lower torso.

 

Yep they should have already released Astrotrain... Maybe it would have been the only decent one around... Apart from the one made for wealthy people...

 

I've never understood this train of thought, even though combiner scale usually shouldn't matter, I think at least having raiden be bigger than menasor makes sense.
