Basically Action Masters 2.0

 

All doubts left my mind when TF prime stuff was leaked and shown. I’m buying those no matter what.

 

These will be an easy pass for me.

 

Arcee is a stand out of the show. This is the very best that a TFP Arcee toy will look, no question. Just look at that articulation and all those accessories. That face! She has been captured wonderfully. Might get Cheetor too for his signature weapon and to say clear as day that G1 is the last thing R.E.D. needs.

 

That Arcee looks amazing. Wasn't that thrilled about the first bunch, but she'll definitely be a purchase.

 

So, the R.E.D. transformers line is advertised as being 6-inch tall, but do you think it's just the average height? Are all of the characters that height, or can some be shorter or taller? I know that there aren't a lot of R.E.D. figures available at this time, but I can only assume that the R.E.D. line is similar to like say the Star Wars Black Series. And in that series, they try to maintain accurate scaling.

For characters like TFP Arcee and Knockout, they were some of the shorter characters in the show. But I doubt they would make them so small, as to scale accurately with an average sized Megatron/Optimus at 6 inches. So basically, what height will they be, do you suspect?

 

Unfortunately, I don’t see these having a decent scale, but I’d love to b proven wrong. Was there any package shots?

Can’t lie, wave 1 wasn’t the best start, but G1 isn’t a good fit for this line tbh. Animated, Prime, and less blocky character designs are more suited for this type of line. With G1, the kibble can fit into the blocky aesthetic, while Prime was all curves and spiky. I’m very excited for the prospect of a full Prime team in this line.

So yeah, preordered Cheetor and Arcee.

 

I just found wave 1 at walmart earlier, are they everwhere or was I just extremely lucky?

 

They're showing up everywhere now.

 

Arcee looks like the best of the bunch so far. Although I can only imagine how much better she would look with a full coat of metallic paint.
I'm sure customizers (and perhaps some KO company) will do great things with this mold.

I wasn't expecting them to deviate so far from the on-screen model with Cheetor. His face almost looks more like Dinobot's, with that evil sneer and red eyes.

Nice to see that they are making these across different lines.

 

I couldn't care less about the G1 releases in this line, but I'll buy pretty much any that come from non-G1 lines. There are plenty of good, often transformable options for G1 released every year. But it's very rare for other series to see releases past the end of their respective series, especially for non-Beast Wars characters.

If this means we'll see more releases of non-G1 characters, even if they don't transform, I am all for it.

 

Will Dinobot be the same size as Cheetor for this line?

 

Found Optimus and Megatron at my local Walmart. Not sure why Walmart.com hadn't shipped my preorder if they're already in stores but I was able to cancel my order and just buy them off the shelf. Haven't seen Soundwave yet.

Arcee definitely looks like she's the full 6" in the pictures so I'd guess that'll be the case. I think she'll scale pretty well with Iron Warrior Pioneer (3p nontransforming TFP Optimus) though I doubt the finish will be particularly complementary. I might have to give her a new paint job.

 

Just a question, maybe silly , does RED Prime Arcee transforms into a motorcycle?

 

I said it in another thread but my biggest issue with Arcee is that Hasbro still can't seem to get more elbow articulation in female figures in any of their 6" lines. Just wish they could work on a better joint for female figures considering male figures get double jointed elbows.

 

These are non-transforming action figures, in the same vein as Hasbro's other 6" articulated action figure lines (Marvel Legends, Star Wars: Black, GIJoe: Reclassified, Ghostbusters: Plasma Series, and the short-lived Overwatch: Ultimates).
