im fine with the articulation, its the paint that bothers me megatron just looks unpainted and just molded in grey, i hate the clear windows on optimus and the faceplate need something as well. decent enough but when compared to siege and earthrise especially the cellshaded decos? nope hard pass

Hasbro & Takara should've look at their competition Bandai did with their SHF Figuarts line and apply some of the ideas accordingly (maybe copy or tweak it).

The age of the dated Action Masters is already over.

I have no problem with the concept. I can't believe people are still saying "Transformers that DON'T transform???? Am I in Bizarro world??" like they're some kind of hack stand up comedian from the 80s.

This isn't a new concept unless you're 11 years old and just started collecting yesterday. There have been HUNDREDS of non-transforming TF figures in the last 30 years, with varying degrees of success.

This just looks like poor execution. Hasbro is absolutely killing it with GI Joe, Marvel Legends, and Star Wars Black right now. These should have been up to those standards. They're clearly not.

I'm really loving the G1 look! But! Aaakkkk!!!! Oh No No Hasbro! What are you doing!!!! I had such high hopes for this line! But this is just completely unacceptable! I mean the ankle tilt alone is a dill breaker! I was like none transforming G1 transformers, this is going to be great!!! No transformation, and No gimmick! But with today's articulation standards! Heck Yes!!! But this articulation is just going backwards! And definitely does not justify the loss of transformation! :(

Ok what the actual freaking heck Hasbro! It is clear to me now that you definitely understand the correct colors of G1 Optimus Prime! Did you really just screw up ER Optimus colors, just to try and make R.E.D look better! :banghead:  I'm Done! This is an obvious slap in the Face!

But all will be forgiven if they at least give us the Action Masters out of this line! :)

I think I'll stick with my Mega PVC and Revoltech versions, unless these new figures come down in price.

Repeat after me: War for Cybertron is NOT G1, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for WFC figures to have identical look and/or coloring to G1 figures and/or toons.

There, that should make you feel better :)  If you want a modern, color-accurate G1 animation Prime - MP-44 is the answer.

Hmmmm...that megatron head....if the colors match Earthrise Megatron it might be worth swapping.

This line sure seems disappointing so far.
Very bummed to see that they went with PVC or something as the main material.
They remind me a lot of the Super SCF figures that Takara did back in 2003.

Was really hoping Hasbro would bring their A-game and make something akin to the Marvel Legends line.

    Ah well, money saved..

The only thing holding me back is that I have no expectation of Hasbro releasing a large roster of characters. If I knew that Hasbro was committed to giving us all the main Sunbow characters and all the Japanese G1 characters as well, I’d buy up every one and sell off my Classics/Generations figures. I don’t want to commit to paying $20 a figure for a line that may only have 20-30 figures at best and probably won’t even touch Japanese G1. I just don’t see Hasbro committing to this line for the long haul like they have for Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends.

Japanese G1 characters are Haslab exclusives and will sell for $100 each...

Megatron is only one I'm interested in since Hasbro has such a difficult time trying to nail down his look in other lines.

Well that's completely obvious now! MP is to large and dosen't scale with Prime Wars, or WFC Trilogy, because a lot of those figures they got right, and MP dosen't make them, also MP doesn't do obscure characters like the Headmasters, and I would never be able to complete Seasons 1-4 with MP. I guess it's time to breakout the paint!

These in hand images are even worse then I thought from the reveals:
Bad, soft sculpts, bad proportions, super simple decos, just “ok” articulation....

    ... I just don’t get it.

(not to mention anytime Primes wearing a white diaper it’s an auto-fail)

It appears that Hasbro finally made a 6” action figure line that I don’t feel the need to run out and buy.

    To any Moderator!

Would these figures count to be in the Feedback and Review forum?

Agreed. I’m very tempted to jump on this despite the limitations but I’m turned off if only a handful of figures got made.
