I have no idea why anyone would want to watch a show about freaking toys in a war when they could be doing something far more productive like bowling or hanging out with girls.

Yay for me, I've absolutely loved it so far the voice work I would wager is probably the best I've heard out of all TF shows to date. The overall story arc is interesting so far, the Dark Energon angle is a nice twist on the typical "Energon race" scenario which just about every TF cartoon has been about. I like it so much even a Con fanboy like me has an Autobot as his favourite, that being Ratchet!

The designs I were a bit iffy on at first but they have quickly grown on me, and the action makes stuff like Armada/Energon look like stop motion (and I actually like those shows!).

    My only complaints:

Not enough Cons. Starscream and Soundwave aren't enough, even with Megatron back eventually coming back, I think another two would round out their numbers quite nicely. And also some more screen time for Soundwave would be appreciated.

And secondly, these "weekly special guest" type characters, I hope it's not a trend that is going to continue.

A cautious "yay" for me. I'm enjoying it, but there's a couple of aspects I'm a bit concerned about - the 'special guest characters' and the apparently empty world it's set in.

So you think that people who watch a show about toys in a war are wasting their time, yet monitoring an internet discussion forum that talks about the aforementioned show and toys and posting so you can tell us all that you think watching the show is a waste of time is in fact a good use of time? Just trying to understand here.

Even though I'm not totally happy with the show every single episode I'm going to have to give the show a thumbs up. Things like bot of the week is getting old already but I do love they expand the fictional universe with a line here or there about something that happened before the series.

Picking a favorite character is about like saying pick your favorite from Beast Wars. Tough tough choice but I'll go with Starscream for all the nice new little twists on the character instead of the same old Starscream.

The toys. Hell yea I'm looking forward to the toys. Just something about the mix of styles that works well for me visually so it should be fun to see how Hasbro translates them into plastic.

    Big "yay."

IMO, a fantastic reimagination of characters old and new. Personal favorites are Bulkhead and Starscream thus far, but I see big potential for Megatron.

I'm tired of new renditions of characters that were created 25 years ago. That is over.
But I like TF: prime. I never thtought i would, I hate the way prime looks. But I like all the others... Bulkhead is great, and Ratchet is awesome as well, Megatron is f'n cool as hell and i love the new(ish) voice Mr. Welker does for him. The show is much more violent that other transformers cartoons, and the humans don't get in the wat too much. It's fairly well done. Most of the character models are well designed. I just am growing tired of all the re-boots. I mean C'mon. CONTINUE the f'n story. It could work.... But I am happy with TF: Prime. My girlfriend (Hates Tranformers as a whole) Likes TF: Prime, a little. (She will marathon Beast wars any day though)

All and all its good. And I look forward to what they have in store....

My reaction towards TF: Prime is ambivalent bordering on positive. The only characters who really pique my interest are Ratchet and Starscream. I also find myself liking Soundwave, despite him being little more than a cipher at this point.

Aside from Starscream and Ratchet, every character in Prime comes straight from a cookie cutter.

You weren't happy with the tried and tested, absorb some untested energy and unleash zombies scheme?

Maybe he can kidnap Arcee and tie her to some train tracks if she won't marry him.

I like the animation, the fight scenes and the Autobot designs but the whole show just feels so...lifeless!

it's a meh show at best. I'll still follow it, but I'm not really into it...
