My second custom, a heavily scratched Megatron. The pics don't really do it justice, so much of the molded detail is brought out. I figured Megatron would never polish himself so he could keep every scratch to remember every fight, so I made him dirty and damaged. Basecoat of gloss black, covered with metallic silver and a mixed dark grey. He was suprisingly easy to paint, not many small details to get in.

 

Do you intend on painting back over the Purple you painted over with the Silver?Just curious.Otherwise I don't think it looks quite right if you didn't.

 

On the arms? I like the nice glow effect it gives in light so I'll probably keep it.

 

Take the head apart and get a nice hateful red on those eyes to wake him up. Otherwise I like. I got a similar effect by doing a silver base coat with a custom grey dry brush over it. And I painted over the purple, too. I like it better myself.

 

I'm still working on finding a screwdriver small enough for his head.

 

Found a teeny tiny screwdriver and painted his eyes, doesn't show up well on camera though. I can't even see the pupils, but they're there
