The game will also be available for Wii, but the WiiU version won't.

According to Gearbox, who is actually working on games for the system and not some random anonymous developer like the ones that are saying the WiiU is underpowered, the WiiU is a true next gen console, and will be more powerful than the other consoles available now. Which makes sense, as the PS3 and 360 are using 6 year old tech. It would be hard for the WiiU to not be more powerful than them.

I dont think we've actually seen any video or screenshots of the WiiU version of the game yet. I can't find any on the site, at least.

 

That's good news for the WiiU owners.  

I may give the Prime game a try when it comes out.

Nah, this is about on par for early-era PS2 graphics; circa 2001-2002.

 

Even the early PS2 games had shadows for game characters. I think this is worse.

 

Considering the trailer is for the 3DS game, which is about as powerful as a Gamecube, I'd say it's pretty on par graphically for a licensed game from the PS2 days.

For all the people that keep bashing this about the bad graphics on Wii U, I think the author of this article made a mistake. Anyone that owns a 3DS check the trailers on the eShop section, this SAME trailer is under the trailer section for 3DS games. I think this is the trailer for the 3DS and NOT the Wii U....

Yep I think I'm right...theres no confirmation because this trailer is for the 3DS

 

I already sold my Wii (and ALL the accessories) because I wasn't using it and nothing about the WiiU had made me want to get it. So I'll be passing on this unless it gets a Xbox/PS/OSX release.

 

So the Wii isn't a 3rd party shovelware dumping ground?

As for 1992, I don't remember the SNES being that but then again I wasn't as into gaming then as I am now so I only remember the massive number of hits. (Again unlike the Wii, lol)

Thank you. The Wii U is more powerful than the 360 and PS3 but everyone who hasn't even seen anything from it (going off a 3DS trailer "Hurr, dat Wii U has terrible PS2 graphics.") will continue to look foolish long after this thread. AC3 and Metro Last Light and the other triple A titles being offered for it should tell most people with common sense it is a fairly capable machine. Since they weren't typically offered on the Wii. Til next year when the new xbox is released and possibly the next PS (but knowing Sony they'll wait), it is the new top dog of "next gen" by default. I'll wait till I see ACTUAL Wii U game play of the game to pass judgement.  

 

Yeah I knew the graphics on the trailer doens't look to be made for the Wii and the Wii U So that does give me a bit of relief. I'll need to see the other parts of the game first before I make up my mind however.

I mean seeing how Jack foiled Megatron's plan for Optimus in Orion Pax part 3 it's likely he'll try to kidnap all of the kids and possibly Fowler and June too.

It may happen later on in the show.

What the heck is a WiiU? It seems like every couple of years Nintendo comes out with a new game system that makes the old one worthless. Microsoft does the same thing. It's planned obsolescence!
