I'm trying to start a collection, but I can't decide on whether I should make a Foc collection or a Transformers Prime collection. From what ive seen They both have some great figures (Prime: Fe optimus,Fe Bulkhead/ Foc: Megatron, Shockwave) and they also have some great deals for them at BBTS. Any help on which route I should go, and please no answers like "both" or "neither"

    I'd say FOC & Cyberverse.

Having bought a bunch of PRime figures I'm just not finding I'm loving them like the Generations/FOC figures

I'm biased because I like the TFP aesthetic better, so I would recommend TFP over FOC.

Not being a huge fan of either, I decided to go with Prime. Many of the FEs are great, and other figures such as Ratchet are winners. I have the 5 WFC figures, but decided that I didn't really like the look of them, and the new run of FOC deluxes (for the most part) look terrible to be. I will cherrypick figures like Grimlock and Shockwave that I can fit into my classics collection, but some of the figures just aren't detailed or big enough for me. I may grab Soundwave, since we don't have much official for a classics Soundwave, but his data discs are weak at best IMO, and finally seeing Bruticus combined today in person (SDCC version), I am glad I passed on it.

I collect Prime more out of OCD, but it does have some pretty good hits in it. Only problem is that the completionist in me is driving me towards a lot of Takara versions which is more than I really want to invest in the line.

I'm starting to dislike both toy lines.

Start with FoC, because it has fewer toys. It'll be cheaper and easier to have a complete collection.

I would advice going with FoC, but picking up some TFP figures as well. Something as great as the TFP Vehicon figure shouldn't be passed over.

FOC if anything since you can, assuming that you have some, consider them as pre-classics classics thus adding more to the line itself.

If you don't have classics, I'd still vote for FOC because of the Bruticus combiner. This alone makes the line worth it.

I'd say the Prime line is a lot stronger, personally
