Beast Wars and Animated had pupils in their big coloured eye lenses, too. The movies, for the most part, forgoe the lens and just use the pupils.

Meh... I wasn't crazy about animated's designs, and I'm not fond of movie designs either. But I did enjoy the Animated cartoon because of the good storytelling compared to the Unicron Trilogy. But hey it is Prime and I buy at least one Prime from every line and if they do make a toyline for this cartoon later on I will probably have this Prime in my collection as well.

But after TFA, Movie and now this... I think I'll get too used to Optimuses with HEROIC STANCE. No wonder chubby WFC Prime feels kinda weird to look at.

 

Ooooh, I like. First thing that hit me was "Hey, it's Animated Prime".

The ones I wanna see are Bulkhead and Cliffjumper though. I'm interested in seeing just what they'll look like.

 

I thought the smokestacks were going to be on the legs this time.

 

This is growing on me fast. After sleeping on it, the design looks even better.

He sort of looks like a baloon with those arms. Do not like the arms, from the shoulders down to the hands.... looks just weird. I can almost hear Prime complaining about having bad articulation. The rest of him looks okay.

Hopefully it will look better in the show and the figure.

 

While I personally prefer to not see anything from that shit stain of a "continuity" movie universe stain other TF media, especially the designs, I like this.

While some parts do look a little....off...I think this is a pretty cool blend of Animated style and simplification of unnecessary fluff of the movie designs. I can also see some Transtech in there as well.

Regardless of what he looks like, I hope his character AND the Prime stories are well written and interesting, otherwise, who cares what any of the characters look like?

 

I love movie Prime, but this is ridiculous. It looks like they were desperately trying to pay homage to Tetsujin28 and Mazinger while maintaining the movie look.
