Lol, this thread is really similar to that Animated thread that was posted, only lighter.

Instead of "That's what they look like? THIS SHOW SUCKS!" we're getting "That's what they look like? Ugh. I'll give it a chance, though."

    Atleast it's progress.

After what we got with Animated it's nice to see people actually willing to give this a chance instead of automatically writing it off as total garbage.

This looks like shit. I'm fuckin' tired of the movie aesthetic....

I was looking forward to something a bit more classic. Whatever...I'll see where this goes, but it isn't looking promising so far. Looks like I might be saving some money.

While I dislike the design now, I could learn to live with it if the show is good. Now we need pics of Optimus to pass final judgement.

Well if you look at his arms and body shape, even his head - everything is simplified, and it is also streamlined, and the shapes have a slightly exaggerated, slightly caricatured feel to them - the way all the jumbly moviestyle junk that makes BB's silouette look like he's a junk pile - all this streamline means it's stylized - and they definitely took some cues from animated. It's interesting.

Visually, I see the appeal for a show that looks like this, though I think the toys will be very hard to acheive.

Storywise, I wish it weren't movieverse - as the robot's story in the movies ws so bad/not there/definitely not the focus.

That said, in the same way the clone wars' tv show story is superioir to Lucas' movies, maybe this show set in the movieverse will have the robot-centric stories that Bay is incapable of giving us - IMHO.

So it may be good. My hopes are high, even though I would rather have TFA or WFC continue.

    Quoted for truth!

and after looking at BB some more while i can see certain things and seem inspired by the movie design, I can't see enough to be certain this BB has the same alt mode as Movie BB. we won't know that until we see his alt mode of course or perhaps the rest of him.

I serious hope they make new molds and not rework existing ones as i want a leader class prime from this show that isn't a pain in the arse to transform.

Not sold so far - I've never liked the movie designs and this is similarly ugly.

If the story works I guess I'll live with it, but I'd love to have something that genuinely excites me - first the comics, now this. Is there anything the movie-verse can't infiltrate?

Am I the only person who's thinking this is just the Earth-mode WFC Bumblebee?

Meaning that Transformers: Prime is the series that WFC is the prequel for.

Very interesting, BB's design evokes a bit of the Movie-verse. Can't wait to see the designs for other characters featured in TF: Prime and see what the new series is all about, if it's tied into the Movie-verse or to War For Cybertron.

Why would WFC BB go from having a classic style head to a movie-esque one just because hes on a different planet? Seems like a bit of a drastic leap to me.

Yeah I see what you mean...I just keep thinking the next series will use the game as it's basis. Mainly because in one of the interviews it was said that WFC would be used as a prequel for future lines.
