I really don't see where everyone is seeing ANY animated design in this.

It is so blatantly movie designed.

no, i think Hasbro gets it perfectly... the movies have been a MASSIVE influx of money to the brand, so therefore continuing it seems like a good idea... especially if this can show more character development and a hot ass megan fox cartoon! i kid i kid... but really, the movie stuff is probably what we're gonna have for the next 2 years at least, and as long as it keeps selling well to kids and parents, since the collectors make up less then 10% of the supporters...

Neat design, just hope they take more liberties with it so it's its own universe and not some movie-tie in that the movie ignores. I like the sleakness to it though over the movie designs. So while it may be movie-influenced to an extent, here's hoping it's mostly original in content.

People are amazingly quick to write this off, based on just one possibly not even final image. Even had one borderline 'ruined forever'. There were similar prophecies of doom when the first look at Animated appeared, and look how that ended up.

Personally I would love a series set in the movie verse, revolving around NEST.

Okay, from the information we have so far:

-Orci and Kurtzmann are producing the show

-The designs will be (somewhat streamlined to be easier to animate) from the Bayformers Movies

I can honestly say I lost all interest now. Wake me up when Animated is back, or hasbro decides to do a cartoon from War for Cybertron...

Although I wonder when we can expect this. Surely, a new cartoon will need new toys that they can sell, and we have seen no "Prime" toys on Toyfair yet. And in 2011 we have Bayformers 3. When do they plan to open the hub, anyway?

The other two characters is a my little pony, and... is that one of the dogs from the old Rescue Rangers cartoon?

I'm not sure what to make of it yet, but it does look promising. Here's to hoping for a great show!

    Wow......that. is. cute.

To me it looks like Movie Bee and WfC Bee mixed with a design from "Robots". I like it.

Really looks like a heavily modified movie Bee render..still has more than enough differences, but it's clear that the movie Bee was used as a starting point.

Movie, but more stylized/simplified. Not too sure what to think of it, will have to wait to see what the full show will look like. :)

Looks like I'll continue to be saving money on mainline TFs.

You should see the Spider-Man Soup Kitchen thread.

Seriously though, it's like "Judge the book by it's cover" is a rule.

That looks a lot like Transtech Cheetor meets Movie BB. If only alt mode could be like the one from transtech..

I'm digging the design a lot.
I just really hope it goes in a different direction than rehashing the movies.

Like for example, still keep this in-continuity with WFC, BUT make the designs post WFC and on earth with moderate movie-stylized flair.

I have no hate towards the movie, I'd just like a little story variety over what it's giving us. This designs don't do anything to tell us the story other than the fact it's a mix of realistic, WFC, and Movie, with some toku armor designs flair.

All of which I simply adore. But story is what'll really make or break this. Designs can be all kinds of awesome but still fall flat if story isn't good. I look forward to seeing how the toys turn out, this might be one I go all out with to replace my movie figures, or one that I pick and choose with.

Only one image, but I've got to admit I'm really disappointed.

Sorry but I'm just not a fan of the movie look so a part of me was holding on to the hope that the new cartoon would have a different look. Now it looks like it could be more shelves full of movie looking figures that I'm just not interested in.

On the bright side though if they can deliver on the writing like they have said they wanted then the art style isn't going to matter all that much.

Looks decent but I thought TF:New Show was supposed to follow on from WfC, how the G1gasm Bumblee from the game translates into this is anyone's guess. Unless of course, that info was simply wrong or Hasbro just changed their minds, both of those seem more likley then this supposed transition.

I really like the aesthetic. Despite being movie inspired, the stylized curves and blockiness combined with clean coloring mark a clear departure from the movie style.

I'm really curious to see how close this promotional image translates over to the actual animation, considering how well detailed and rendered the image is.
