I think the implication is that Predaking is a successful clone of beast fossils from an earlier age of Cybertron. But he's not as loyal as he should be.

The Labnotes seem to infer Laserback escapes 1st and is completely rogue and a bit crazy. and seems to imply some are loyal to their fellow Predacons and some to the Decepticons but many the indoctrination does not seem to take well.

It looks the the Decepticon command stracture will be in chaos if the bio story bares any relationship to the show at all.. and so far the bios and the lab notes do not seem to contradict each other.

Megatron builds a castle and then gets a Dragon... what does that make Soundwave Merlin the Wizard then ?

Personally speaking, I really am not a fan of the whole cybertronian biologically organic metal, angle they went in with this series. It just takes away alot of what makes robots...Well, robotic.

It really feels like someone who doesn't know how to write fiction for mechanical based characters, so the easy cop out is to just say it's alien biology.

This looks so cool! I hope Predaking isn't the only Predacon. I hope they show more like, Lazerback, Ripclaw, Skystalker, Grimwing, etc.

With all due respect to your point of view, it stands to reason that an entire culture of cybernetic 'lifeforms' would also develop an ecology. This ecology might also include lifeforms similar to those that exist or have existed on our earth. This being the case, techno-organic creatures as a natural evolution of a straight-up robot makes sense and also helps to explain much of the Transformers that have existed throughout its history and lore- like beasts, insects, etc.

As an example I use the 3rd Matrix movie. Although most hated 2 and 3 of this series I'm sure most have at least seen it. Towards the end of the film Neo is meandering through the machine city and all around him robot insects are seen moving about. One assumes this ecology erupted as a natural state of A.I. doing what life does- e.g., exist, evolve, etc. I look at the Transformers and their world in much the same way. They are A.I. which essentially spawned itself, with a requisite ecology, biology, etc., to match. In other words, just cuz their metal doesn't mean they are stuck as merely robots. And what does 'merely robots' mean anyway? An intelligent machine can essentially be anything it can compute and create.

I can appreciate what you're trying to do, but, no. And just to be clear, I dont have a probalem with stuff like beast forms and what not. What I have problem with is stuff like cloning robot DNA...That's just not a thing...Other then bad writing.

After the season finale, I doubt they have to cover anything up anymore. Fowler had the town evacuated, but you can't hide a metallic fortress appearing out of nowhere...and a spaceship tumbling a mountain.

Miss the first 3 seconds of the vid where Megatron addresses the human race?

I get what you're saying and I totally agree, but from what I understand and what was said at the NYCC, it seems the Predacons are prehistoric beasts that existed on Cybertron pre-war, post planet's creation, like our dinosaurs. With that in mind, if they do transform, that could just be part of Shockwave's 'customizing' of the already alien and not robot beasts. Just a thought though

This was my first time hearing Shockwave's voice on prime. What a terrible choice for his voice!

To be fair in the show they did explain that robots have carbon based biology which makes sense seeing how they are organisms as well as mechanical beings.
