So I take it that the Flint Dille comics are just as 86 movie fan-wanky as Transformers: Prime?

Pretty much, but the story itself was pretty unremarkable regardless. It just felt like Hasbro was forcing more Dinobots down our throats, also the ending felt pretty anticlimactic with nothing new being added. The only thing that interested me were the Junkions which turned out to be a moot element in the story.

On the other hand, I didn't mind Autocracy all that much, Zeta Prime was pretty interesting and even the parody of the "I thought you were made of sterner stuff" at the end wasn't as bad as people say. Especially when comparing it to some of the stuff said in Prime.

I'd rather have stories he has crafted be the full focus of his attention rather than splitting it to improve the prequels which are not his stories.

Ah I dunno, maybe its cause I'm reading the print versions instead of the smaller dozen or so digital releases but I didn't really haven an issue with either book. As long as Barber is editing I can at least rest easy knowing it fits into continuity decently enough.

How spoiled we are. The worst thing you could possibly say about this series is "harmless." The dark days of IDW weren't so long ago.

Keep bitching guys. I'm really liking these cheapo Dille digital stories and I like the gaps they are filling in. :)

I've been enjoying both Autocracy and Monstrosity. I hope this mere rumor comes to glorious fruition.

    Haha... No.

These comics are much, MUCH more fanwanky. It makes it look like the writers of FOC had never seen the movie.

see you're right that it could be worse. but the 'filled in gaps' are why I hate these series. I've bought all the IDW Hardcovers, which are the issues printed in their chronological order. these two series, and the recent wave of spotlights (Trailbreaker & Hoist excluded) RUIN my Vol. 1.....

It is not a rumor, Flint talked about it at TF expo in Wichita, Primacy is a continuation of autocracy and monstrosity it will end the trilogy.

Yeah; really, I LIKED these books, unlike many here. And I'm a fan of Livio's art. I'm definitely interested in this.

Even then, did Monstrosity have TFTM references? Yes. Did it have exact replicas of TF:TM? No. Hell, the final homage line was pretty apt - there's nothing wrong with a reference if it fits, after all, and none of them were really shoehorned in to the extent of redoing the Hot Rod interference in Autocracy.
