For years Power Rangers was Transformers main rival in the toy aisles. Years later and it's surprising to see that Hasbro owns them now.

The way Warden talks about, leaves me thinking some Hasbro cinematic universe is still being considered with all their brands eventually crossing over onscreen.

"For all those 90s kids out there I think it’s there moment now"

*Beast Wars theme plays ominously in the distance...*

Depends which color scheme they decide to go with. Personally I always envisioned Grimlock = red, Slag = blue, Swoop = yellow, Snarl = green, and Sludge = black. Or alternatively Grimlock = blue, Slag = green, Snarl = red for full G2 goodness. Slash can be pink if necessary.

The only thing they really need to do is let the Transformers team design and produce Zords. The one flaw of Power Rangers toys, in my opinion at least, is that while the Zords had some vintage appeal back in the day, today they're complete crap. Not even the Power Rangers ones exclusively, Japan's Sentai mechs also flat out suck nowadays. They never evolved beyond the "brick with a gimmick"-mentality, although recent ones are even worse than the old toys.

Let your designers remake the Megazord (who is very basic in transformation) much like they remake G1 Tranformers toys for today’s audience. Give every Zord its own robot mode, make the combination more awesome and so on so forth. That's all I want to see really, and I'm not even that huge into Power Rangers.

What we really don’t need on the other hand is Dinobots dressing up as Zords or Optimus Prime in spandex.

    ...

Wait, never mind, that last one has potential.

Growing up, I was much more into Power Rangers than I was Transformers. However, these days, I am more into Transformers. Having a crossover between the two would be like my past and present selves manifesting into a toyline. So yes, please Hasbro. Make it happen.

She’s honestly the only yellow Power Ranger I am familiar with. I watched MMPR for about 15 minutes in the early 90s when it first came out and didn’t follow it over time. Was there ever a female black Ranger?

You do realize super sentai toys are marketed towards preschoolers in Japan, right? Hence why they don't have any articulation beyond shoulder movement.

Then you got 20 years to catch up on. And as for your second question, no, but we've gotten every other color: red, blue, white, green, purple, but not black.

I mean an actual toyline where Transformers turn into G.I. Joe vehicles. But judging by the responses in this thread, such a thing might truly be unpopular after all. Who knew? Hasbro, I guess.

A toyline would be cool. Crossover fiction of the two never was great imo.

I thought that was obvious since Hasbro owns power rangers.

My friend who doesn't give a shit about toys or transformers thinks Hasbro buying Power Rangers was the best thing to happen to the franchise.
