And there we have it, folks. We need to start using our boxes as housing insulation to save planet Earth. :)

These sellers just take the figure out of the packaging so it costs less to ship.

Ah yes, the same old "the environmental burden lies on the general consumer, not the billion dollar companies doing most of the polluting" argument  . Well, fine then. I've already cut down my collecting the last few years, so you guys want to join me and stop buying? I bet I know what the answer will be. You can't convince people like yourselves who are set in their ways and don't care about anything else. The change needs to come from the top down. Hasbro should do better market research and limit their quantities of production so you don't have things like the Eternals figures lying around around en masse years after the movie's release.

Honestly, now thinking about it, maybe a "made to order" system should be the move going forward. Similar approach to what they do with Haslab, but sans the crowdfunding aspect.

As I said in the very beginning, it's all about greed and selfishness, on Hasbro's part and the collecting community. I'd love to see the actual data on the sales in the windowless packaging because I'd be willing to bet it's less about sales and that they decided to go back to their old ways because of a very loud minority complaining. It's incredibly likely that sales slumped as a result of inflation more than anything else.

Also, I love the people saying us defending the windowless packaging are "wrong" lol. Wrong about what part exactly?

Last time I read, "buying less" is not the same as "stop buying" so...

Because by your own words, I've already buying less and less, especially with the price raise and I already got most that I want, I think I can count in one hand the amount of TF I bought in 6 months :p

And yes, that's what I said before, they should stop making those shitty Titan Changer or Gimmicky Toys instead of doing the insignificant of removing plastic window, glad we agree on that.

Ah, so we're going to be pedantic instead of actually acknowledging the original point. I see.

I'm still waiting for you to share this insider data you somehow have about how effective removing the plastic was. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    So, plastic windows, huh?

I'm guessing for the Generations stuff it'll just be the same box but with a plastic window. For SS, it'll look like that one wave with all the BBM bots. For Legacy (or Gen:p rime), it'll be like those Walmart Legacy Beasts they released a couple years back.

    Oooooo the Quixotic Quest :deadhorse:

The mythical accumulated virtue signal credits, where do we cash that in again? From Hb?
Btw, how about model kit makers too? They don't have open plastic windows but the runners that get thrown away after finished assembly:jawdropper:  I remember a whole stash I had to get rid off from my PG Unleashed RX-78-2 and PG Unicorn (is there a melting emoticon?) kits. Satisfying to complete yes but I needed to stay away from PGs for a while( sorry PG Zaku II which is languishing for a better part of a year now unassembled, I'll get to you later ).

So even if you start a petition to Hb to return back to it's ill advised look good public relations gimmick of plastic less boxes, they won't as at present, they economically can't anymore. Survival of the fittest first.

Model kits and toys are made from a different type of plastic than the packaging, but do go on about your buzz words more ;)

Let’s also hope that they return leaders back to closed boxes. It’s fine for lower classes, but doesn’t work for leaders. I absolutely loved closed leader boxes.

    "Closed packaging stops theft."

Thieves don't give a shit, I'm telling you.

Also, I have *no* idea what the point of ripping open that pack of cards was if you're just going to leave the foil Lilligant.

At that point you're not even a thief, your just an asshole vandal.

It’ll sure as hell prevent LeBron-ing. I’ve never seen a Walmart Beast with a ripped off head.

Plastics are plastics.o_O  Whatever Buzz words you also use. Can't teach the 3 mythical simians who can't see, hear or say......

Btw, Hb or whatever party under their employ, did a huge dump in a landfill of sealed D&D cards a few months back. Very "environmental" no? Imagine all the plastics in both card and packaging wasting away. Must have been TOO expensive to warehouse them than throw them away.

In the end, pretending to look to do good on the surface but in the end, just the bottom line. Ad finito.........it is done. Tiling against the windmills won't change things. Plastic is back. The anthill you choose to make your last stand is, well an anthill.:deadhorse:
