do the kids lines ever actually sell? Why not just make a line that is compatible with SS and Generations? I know they are doing Studio Series One stuff, but do the crappy autochangers and masks sell?

Y-yeah ? They do , It's the goal of making toys for kids. Younger audiences can't all play with SS and Legacy that has usually more steps, accessories, easy to loose pieces etc. And they are also a lot cheaper, so it's a deal for some parents. The ROTB toyline has been the best since DOTM in my opinion, I like TF ONE's but ROTB has much more articulated figures at various scales.

This is the best selling Transformer toy, per Amazon. As gifts, adult non-TF fans buy the coolest looking thing that has the name of the most recent show or movie they remember on it. It also says the Rise version of the Bee mask has sold 1k units this month.

I don't believe these are the kinds of things kids older than maybe 8-9 directly ask for (I would have loved the masks lol) but it's the kind of thing the casual shopper buys, which is the bulk of the buyers.

I don't like it either, but what I see on shelves when I go to a physical store would indicate that's the thought as well. If I want a SS or Legacy toy, I might have to go to three or four stores to find one. If I want an Earthspark finger puppet, I know 3 stores within a mile lol

I think I might like the mainline OP better than the Studio Series version by a hair.

Well. At least they're not pre-yellowed? These are pretty ugly designs. ROTB and Bumblebee were actually ok, but ONE looks like a huge step backwards, in the design of the toys and characters. Don't think I'll be watching this or buying any figures, which is a shame. I had high hopes for an animated come back, but this isnt it.

I’m sorry. Could you point out the “cool” of these toys?

    I’m blind to it.
