I think my only complaints are the drab brownish greys and the axe hand ball having those tabs. Minor things, but again I hope we see some recolors.

Will say, one benefit to this being animated means the studio series figures will likely be spot on to the designs in the movie. Well more spot on than ROTB or BB. Animated movies have to lock in designs way farther out than any live action movie, so the designs will have been finalized ages ago.

Bot mode gives me some vibe of War Within/WFC & FOC, I like it.

I still want that mainline Airazor, but the only options are Pay A Lot for an out-of-production multipack with other figures I don't want or Pay A Lot for a TakaTomy release with bonus Grossly Inflated Shipping.

I gotta say the 'pre-yellowed' parts are actually my favorite aspect of this design. Along with the emphasis on rounded shapes, the off-gray color really reminds me of those vintage robot toys from the 80s like Ominbot or Maxx Steele, or just the old-school beige of computers from back then. I don't know if that was intentional, but I like the retro-future vibes it gives.

I quite like it. Still clearly Optimus, while being unique and original enough to not just be a straight G1 copy. I like that his transformation is a bit different than what we're used to

I seem to be in the minority here, but I like the warm beige. Looks like he's standing in a warm sunset lol. The yellowing plastic problem has a weird sort of greenish tint to it, but this gray is pure warmth and I like it. The blue axe is nice too, because it kinda helps balance out the warm gray

He would be neat as a Voyager rather than a Deluxe, but the only part here that I actively dislike are the exposed hands in alt mode

    No it isn't

It has "hidden" wheels. The movie design likely doesn't have wheels, but this figure has those little plastic ones that tank figures usually use under the treads. You can see them on the front of the shoulders in bot mode, so at least he'll roll

That's a nice take on Prime. Glad he is more beef than scrawny. This stylization is so good and I wish we could have an made up origins Optimus Prime. This prime seems fresh but I wonder if they will make a Voyager version too.

Not sure why but I'm kinda getting a Striker Manus vibe

I'm fairly certain JTPrime informed us that the "Prime Changers" in the One toyline listings are the deluxes

Looks more of something than bbm soundwave. But yeah I agree the robot mode is good stuff and the better mode.

I don’t really mind a cybertronian mode being a bit whatever, but I hope that whatever is at least pretty accurate. I guess we may see tomorrow, if the trailer shows after the point that they gain their ability to transform.

I already had a hunch based on that very first Cybertron panorama teaser image....and indeed, this toy design confirms this design aesthetic is absolutely not for me. Yuck.

Heh oh man... the yellowing / browning of this thing is going to set records. Even these promo shots look like it's already starting.

    D'aw, that's a nice lil Prime.

Nice design too, if this is any indication of how he'll look in the movie, I dig it.

    Huh.
    Well that’s an Optimus alright.

If this was a Voyager I’d be fairly unimpressed.
As a Deluxe, I’m a bit less unimpressed.

    I don’t hate this.
    I don’t love this.

    I guess it’s just ok.
