If Transformation Cogs work like they did in Prime than presumably they also had to take those out to prevent them from having weapons to fight back with.

We see after getting theirs Megatron gets his Fusion Canon and Bumblebee gets his stingers.

The question here is, why did it have to be aimed for kids!?

Compared to ROTB, at least we're getting a full movie this time!

Nah this looks great. im pleasantly surprised with the VA's (was anxious for Hemsworth but hes actually doing pretty darn good) and i love the animated esq energy bee is bringing. this movie seems to be able to have fun, but i really hope it can get serious when the scenes demand it. i really dont want a marvel "erm, that just happened" moment in my finale.

color me very excited. for a movie series about giant transforming space robots, its kinda funny that the majority of it has been live action in the cinema. TF feels a lot more at home when its animated imo. Cant wait to see it ^-^

Multiversal take origin. Fine. Still prefer War Dawn, though in the end of the JP TF Universe, Megs eventually is redeemed too.

I thought it looked fun. I think this is what Transformers needed to get a new generation of kids/fans hooked on transformers. Looks like if you liked the Super Mario brothers movie a year ago... you'll like this one.

i feel bad for those who let their inner kid die a long time go and just want to see super serious dark themed versions of a franchise started for kids.

HARD AGREE. The point of new media is not for old heads. It's so that new fans have a jumping on point.

My guess is this is Sentinel. Looks like he might be a pawn in the Quintesson's(?) plans.

We’ve just seen a two minute trailer. We have no idea what the whole film is going to be like.

The problem is being generic. See what I said. I literally posted a Optimus design I liked in the movie

The Netflix War For Cybertron series tried to be. I'd personally not want to go back there.

I don't mind jokes. But I don't think it needs to be a Zucker "100 laughs per minute" style movie either. It honestly could be that the trailer consolidated a lot of the jokes into a short period of time. And thanks to that trailer, it honestly does feel like it's trying hard to give an Illuminations style of story telling mixed with Marvel "Guardians" vibes. It's almost like they collected a bunch of 6-12 year old kids in a room and asked them what movies they liked the most and what they liked about them...and then produced a movie based on that checklist.

So, yeah, it's Guardians of the Galaxy, Minions, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Bumblebee all thrown into a blender - resulting in a movie that looks and feels a little too familiar, complete with a classic rock song. I think if there's a real complaint one can lob against that will stick, it's that it feels...generic. Again, though, this is solely based on the trailer. The movie itself can prove everyone wrong.

real big Guardians of the Galaxy vibes from the trailer. Classic rock anthem, lots of bantz, nobody schmucks rise up to become big heroes (cough cough).

Then again, this could all be footage from like, the first 45 minutes of the movie.

I’d prefer another iteration that wasn’t written by a drunk. Don’t really think that can count as an attempt at a more serious take of the beginning of the war for cybertron.

Looks like a fun movie for slightly older kids, in the age bracket to buy the toys, which is exactly the right move for maximizing revenue.

Not sure that I love the idea that you have to be granted the ability to transform? But probably makes sense within the story they're trying to tell.

It's also going to be weird if this movie gets sequels for Megatron to go from "haha, we're best friends aren't we Orion?" to "I conquer planets to steal their energy and kill all who oppose me"

    Errr ... o_O

Great if you like cute Pixar movies, Sonic movies, or Wreck It Ralph.

If you were hoping for an edgy slice of G1 set on Cybertron then ...

It actually looks pretty good. But I am wondering just how much time will be allocated to showing the result of Megatron and Optimus\'s eventual fallout. The film is clearly supposed to be a feelgood adventure, but with such an apocolotypic event to come in the form of the Autobot/Decepitcon war, how much of it are we going to see.

I think it looks great, although I wanna see the other autobots like ratchet prowl or jazz but it’s fine if they aren’t in it
