They did one of their digital shorts. This one talked about old people being scared of movies and how they don't recognize any one. Then the old person's kids are digitally added into the movies they show. The reference to Transformers was the kids popping on screen telling the old man that the movie is too intense. It was kind of amusing.
Perhaps worth noting is that the movie was semi-retitled "The Transforming Robots" (presumably the 'old person' name for it)
Aw, I woulda laughed at this. But I woulda had to have watched months of unfunny episodes to catch it.
Man, anyone remember when SNL was worth watching? Ah, the memories. If someone Youtube's it, I'm sure the Transformers fan in me will want to watch it.
It was decently funny...I much more respect for Bill Hader and Andy Sandberg after Hot Rod/Superbad. I enjoyed Tina Fey's Weekend Update bit probably the most.
That was before most of us were born. I have a best-of compilation of the original cast, and they really put everybody else to shame.
