Despite the unconventional premise I'm genuinely curious about how this turns out.

There was a Chinese-originated Stitch series that was quite cute, so you know.

I don't want to be a naysayer right out of the gate, but this sounds way too bonkers to be potentially good... idk, I know they are pandering (groveling) hardcore to China right now, but I would have rather seen a TF show that incorporates some mythology from multiple countries like Greece or Egypt rather than just zooming right in on one pinpoint character from the Chinese pantheon...

Guess I'll wait till some designs are out, but fully expecting some wacky golden dragon/SD Gundam style mess that will be a definite pass for me.

There is a belief that Nezha statues aid in road safety. Yay fire wheels

Was just thinking about this the other day.
Glad to see some more concrete information about it.

    Hopefully the designs look interesting
If they do I may track down the toys. And if the show gets dubbed, I may watch it

I'm really curious about the toyline, in my heart i'm wishing for retools and repaints of generations figures, but i bet it's going to be more cyberverse stuff.

I'm really sure what to make of this series, but it sounds pretty original, so my interest is peaked.

So will it be new Transformers or will it be ones we've seen before?

This could be super weird, I look forward to seeing what they come up with. The last crazy all new thing we got was the Transformers Go! Triple combiners so it's been a while.

This is stupid to be honest. As an Asian (of Chinese ethnicity) I think this taints the nezha mythology trying to sell the toys. As a TF fan I think it is a desperate and loser move by Hasbro trying to sell more toys through cultural appropriation.

The " cultural appropriations" comments are stupid. It is based on MYTHOLOGY not a culture! It is not "Transformers Black Face" or " Transformers Redneck Southerner". It is a mythology. Was "THOR" culturally appropriating because he is a Norse god? What about DC comics portrayal of the Greek gods in 'Wonder Woman"?

Yeah I see this more like Transformers, Thor then anything else, and no that doesn't the character is like Thor at all, just he idea of using a Mythological character is like Thor.

This could be crazy enough to be interesting.
But If this is starting in Q3 it would be nice to see something more than the above picture by now.
