Wait, it costs $30 for a deluxe and $70 for a leader in Japan? Do my eyes decieve me?
Both look good
just wished we could get some characters on my want list...... like protoform, Leadfoot, Devcon, scorn, hot Rod, onslaught, mohawk, Dreadbot, etc like come on
What's wrong? In Europe we have the same prices.
if you dont pre-order on amazon japan, yes, so if you dont its cheaper to just import it from overseas the last 2 years roughly. Even when you do pre-order it on amazon though its months later so for a few bucks, about 2 on average , more you could get the toy months sooner if you import it.
I buy deluxes for 15-20$ ( 1500-2000¥ ) and Leaders for 50-60$ ( 5000-6000¥ ) in Japan. Hasbro version is cheaper sometimes, especially siege and earthrise but in case of SS, it’s cheaper to buy Takara version rather than the imported Hasbro version.
That is a STUNNING retool. The only shared parts I can find are the arms.
We have one: PARTS SHARING
And his thighs and crotch are the same, too. Maybe some other internal parts that are only for transformation, too.
I think the crotch in particular is pretty funny because he still has the hinge connector on his butt but there's nothing attached.
So the post says august release for these two. But on the hasbro american website, it says these wont be released here in america until october. When should inexpect to be able to see these guys in america?
I feel like CJ's feet are meant to sit farther back so the middle of them are directly below his legs and the square ankle armour partially covers the black detail behind the toe section.
AKA, a retool.
Retool already covers shared parts figures, as it is literally new tooling that separates them.
There's the rare instance like TR Chromedome/TR Blurr or CW Hot Spot/Ectotron where they share minor parts and little else, not even engineering. In those cases the traditional interpretation of retool doesn't quite fit.
Upper arms, thighs, crotch, and probably more. Even the transformation is the same (except reversed, considering the front of the car is on the back of CJ's feet). Its an extensive retool, but I don't think it needs to be called anything more than that
Yeah probably, but at least when they're positioned this way, we can assume that he's gonna have a rad forward tilt on that joint
Can't wait for Overload. Last one to get.
Never in a million years would I have thought I'd want the movieverse Constructicons but that's just how fine a job Studio Series did on them this go around. Except for Rampage. Still kinda "ehhhh" on him. All the others are awesome.
I\'ve ordered SS Overload on eBay today. This is a last one I can combine to form Devastator.
Is it August or October for the release month?
August is the release month
Amazon says October because that's their estimate
August he will be in stores
Hasbro is just estimating October
Ah. Thanx! The hunt begins.
