I do believe MP Prime will be remolded again - Prime is Tak's cash cow  

 

I wish we'd seen a pic before the listing. Now we're all dreaming of the possibilities that MP-12+ could be. It's going to be a big disappointment if it's just a repaint. Damn you TT for keeping us on the edge of our seats. I'm almost anticipating this as much as a reveal for a new mould.

 

TT are such a teasing bunch of misfits arent they?!  

 

If they do remold the chest and head with the new paint job,the tough question becomes: Do you ship him by himself or do you wait till the next month for Sunstreaker.

 

Give me a new head/face and a jet pack and I might MIGHT go for an MP-12+... If it's just a repaint (and a more bland repaint in my opinion, ala MP-14+) then it's a hard pass....

 

What if MP12+ is more than just an anime repaint? Did edits on Prowl76's colour edits.

 

When the day comes we get a Sideswipe 2.0 I'll just be excited about the next level articulation we're seeing in Megatron and Inferno! MP-12 is great, one of my favorites to transform and I think he looks cool just standing there, but his feet, with barely an ankle tilt and no upward articulation, make more dynamic poses a bit awkward. I'm not a fan of fake chests, tho - I like 'em all natural!

Pretty stuff. I hope MP12 sideswipe plus with new head, which have replacement face.

 

Really digging that digibash by @Prowl 76 But it just brings home how much MP-12 needs a new chest. Give him a collapsing chest gimmick like Maketoys Jazz figure so his torso fits the toon look and he's a winner. Won't happen though.
I need a new MP-12 as the arm broke off my KO but that mould isn't worth the $80-90 they're charging for the official to me. I'm a little surprised we haven't seen a KO of MP-14+ yet but maybe an MP-12+ will motivate the KO makers to start on the plus line as well. I'll happily jump on a KO of both plus figures.

 

Dunno what the fuss is about, pretty Sunstreaker has always been more expensive than ugly Sideswipe?

 

KO arm breaks off, goes buys another KO. *shakes head* People never learn.

 

And you know what is the best part? These unrepentant KO buyers eventually end up spending MORE on their cheap, shitty KOs combined than they do bitching about not wanting to pay x amount for ORIGINALS. EH..F** EM.

I much prefer toy-styled MP's to toon-styled MP's. If the toon option is the only version of the character available, then I'll probably get it. Otherwise, I'm happy with my toy version and will not double dip on the toon version. I love my original MP-12, so MP-12+ will be an easy pass for me.

 

Prowl76's colour edits are a really minor change compared to MP12classic.

This leads me to think one of these is a reality:
* Takara want to see how minor a change they can get away with for the + line
OR
* MP12+ will have mold differences - mostly just a collapsing chest, like in neurowing's image
OR
* The listings are wrong and it's just MP12classic re-released again.

 

IDK, I am pretty much confussed with this issue. I pretty much like the aesthetics of the original. I have seen some pretty bad painted examples and I was kinda ready to pull the trigger on a KO and go full repaint. Then this happens.

I admit that I wont be a big fan if they go they way Prowl76 envisioned it (not that its bad, its just not my cup of tea) and while neurowing's attempt looks better in my eyes its still a no. Both are an imagining based on Red Alerts version I reckon, but.... sorry guys I really hope they dont do those  

I am holding my horses back in expectation but I really hope this release is nothing more than a QC issues fix with a toon embleme chucked in, but that embleme better be optional cause I hate its guts.

Yeah, I'm with you there.

The paint differences alone would really not make for that dramatic of a change at all. Couple that with the higher price tag, and I have to think there's going to be some re-moulding involved. I think a collapsing chest is unrealistic though — that would require a whole new mould, and at that point he'd probably be getting his own MP number.

My money is on new paint colours, plus:
- revised, larger, more 'toon accurate head sculpt
- swappable faces
- jet pack
- possibly smoothing out / removing some of the panel details

I could also see them including the random pile driver thing he used to dig out Skyfire.
