You know, I always thought he was a little short anyhow but you're right, to my eye that really does help his proportions look more natural. :)

Nice. This does definitely improve his proportions.

I sold my MP Hot Rod, but I might get the KO to kitbash (want to put part of the backpack on his legs like the G1 toy) and will then likely consider this as well. It really does make him look better.

Damn, must be sold out already, I can't see a listing. Those other weapons look good though, great work!

Don't hate me, but Hotrod is my favorite autobot. He charmed his way into my heart when I was a kid back in the day and my parents took me to see the movie at the theatre. I loved that he was not perfect like Optimus. To me he was a hero in training, destined for greatness. I love MP 28 (especially that he was made magenta!), except for the visible screws on his wrist cuffs. I think the scale is appropriate because even if he wasn't as tall as let's say Ironhide, he's taller than the traditional autobot cars and stands almost as tall as KUP (who is a truck) in robot mode. He's supposed to have long legs. Didn't Rodimus Prime's original tech spec mention something about having exceptional maneuverability in battle to promote his athletic build? Anyway, kudos for this set for those of you who want him to stand shorter.

I just relisted thee bay auction, and new sets are being made as we speak :)

Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

Marvelboy1974 I am in the camp that says that Ironhide is to big in his MP form. But thank you for the comment. The real purpose was to make his legs better proportioned to the rest of the body. Making him a bit shorter was a by-product.

received mine yesterday and really like them. A bit mis shapen and I'm glad that it came with two sets of the replacement swing bar because the first two snapped as the peg was larger than the hole. It's okay because it came with a spare which worked perfectly.

Great design, something simple yet effective :)

Hotrod does look much better now though :D  will put up some pics tonight

I am sorry that it broke but I am glad it worked out in the end :)  Any suggestions on how can I refine it?

Looking forward to your pics :D

Sorry, I didn't mean to say your quality wasn't refined but more refinement in 3D printing :)  in general. Maybe an acetone bath would help with the finish ? Will update my original post to make sure people don't think it's the quality of the product that's at fault.

It's okay on the broken ones. I think it was just the pegs were very very tight. After the first two snapped I sanded the pegs ever so slightly and they went in perfectly for the next two :)

    Will grab some photos tonight

I don't think it's that the figure is too tall but that the legs appear too long for the rest of his proportions, making his legs look overly skinny. This only shaves off a few mm but helps a lot

    Hi,

Awesome, the leg upgrade for Rodimus Prime, files are also fine, I can print them at shapeways, or you can print them? Either way is fine, I like your awesome upgrade,

    Let me know, thanks,

    Gr Ronald
