I think the reason why they didn't use the HFTD it's because it wasn't the standart voyager, and make the TLK toy look better than the voyagers that they use here.

The HTFD it's the best optimus voyager of the movieverse, but, this is a new design (an impossible design), and seeing that this won't have the same problems like the AoE leader or the trash of First edition, to me it looks like a big improvement, maybe in this case.

Those are actually the worst choices they could have picked for each series, barring TLK obviously.

The Titanium figure doesn't even transform. Also, for "10 years" they only showed five figures, one from each movie. An actual line up of ten years of Prime figures would be lengthy, but cool to see the ups and downs over time.

Not a big fan but we'll see.
Hope the Japanese version looks better.

This company can\'t even do a correct retrospective with its own God damn products. Pathetic.

Yeah that video seems poorly arranged. Properly it\'d be 2007 voyager, HFTD, DOTM Voyager, MAYBE the core robot for Ultimate Optimus (not a true voyager but he\'s about that size or at least what the sized used to be), and Evasion mode. Takara I think had that other AOE Optimus in the same size as well. I do like how they did the shoulders on this one and similar to the leader I do like the wheels around his ankles which is something the CGI model should\'be done (since it\'s arguably a defining feature of movie Prime\'s appearance).

how convenient that they left out all the good looking optimus prime toys that look miles better than the toys they're putting out now :)

Actually the only GOOD VOYAGER of optimus it's HFTD. This looks meh, but hey, it's actually 1000xtimes better than the shits of AOE. And for a voyager with that design, seem pretty ddecent in his way.

The eyes suck. Otherwise, not terrible. But no flames in bot mode?? Kind of kills the whole movie aesthetic bit...

The eyes are about as buggy, or poorly painted as you can get, but at least the sword isn't a plastic urincecicle this time, so good on them for that! :thumb

I think I\'m gonna at least get this figure, if there are better versions, I\'ll wait. :3 I think I will see this movie even if I skipped 3 & 4. ;)

They can't. They don't want a BETTER figure to make their newer figure look like SHIT. Thats why omitted some obviously better Primes!

Evasion Optimus (especially if you got one of the nicely painted ones) was fantastic! I didn't love his curling arms, but everything else about him was stellar. Plus he had the benefit of you being able to transform him without wanting to pull your hair out in frustration, which is not a perk that HFTD had by any stretch of the imagination. ROTF Leader Class complexity at a Voyager scales makes for a great looking toy, but not a fun toy.

My problem with the Evasion mode, it's that it's so fragile, i have 2 versions, the takara rusty and the platinum version with the other autobots, the takara broken of his arm and one of the windows of the chest, and the hasbro that i have, i broke the plastic between the leg and the rim (only at the FIRST TIME that i try to turned it into the truck).

It's actually a good moldd but i just want him like a display toy.

What curling arms? His wrists can swivel.
Oddly jointed elbows, yes, but not curling arms.

I liked how aside from the grill/stomach, it looked more accurate in robot mode than any of the previous voyager movie Primes. That was nuts to me.

This new one has too much paint in areas like the eyes, while not enough of the others. Somewhat reminds me of the 1st Edition AOE Prime(deco).
